Greetings, your name is LUCETI MOD. It seems you've lost your memory. Here's some facts about yourself:

It seemed wise. If there was anything vital in the IV I woke with it would be better to know before I removed it, yes? There would have been something written were that the case.

[Adele would not be surprised at all at what people will just do in order to escape the clinic. It probably gives her headaches.]

Please, Miss Adele- [That feels strange; Mia would usually call her Doctor, at least. She doesn't know if she knows that about herself.] If I have learned anything from living here it is that there is always an end to the experiment. I know you'll be fine.

The time between now and then will be all the more frustrating for the lack of memory. Knowing that I ought to be accustomed to this and find myself failing to manage is more than a little mortifying.

I don't think you are failing to manage at all. Really. I would be a mess if I woke up with nothing, but many of my friends have just been...calm and logical. And so are you.

I assure you I am panicking on the inside. Horribly.

[And to an extent, she still was. Having somewhere to go and someone to help her made it less difficult, but that large empty space where everything she knew of her life was supposed to be left her quietly afraid.]

I certainly would not fault you if you panicked on the outside, too.

[She's spoken to about half a dozen "amnesiacs" by now and there has been a theme. A recurrence. Giving it words is her challenge now.

[She huffs a soft laugh.]

Now it's a bit easier to manage.

[Oh, good. It's in sight. She manages a faint smile and straightens out her shoulders.]

[If what Mia found on the bench was Adele's version of panic, she wants her on her side in a crisis, always.]

What I have noticed about you - all of you that I've met so far, without memories - is that you do still recognize and understand a lot of things. You just will not know why.

So I don't think all is lost.

That is something of a comfort. It might be why I knew how to get out of the clinic- the building is a little disorienting if you aren't in the right frame of mind.

[And how she knew the fountain was a fairly neutral area. And to not be weirded out by the wings.]

How to get out without getting caught, which is a feat almost no one ever manages. [Granted, there are usually more people around with some sense.] But yes, things like that are what I mean.

There didn't seem to be anyone keeping watch. Do people often attempt to escape the clinic?

[That's somewhat disconcerting, to say the least.]

Only a select few - the very stubborn and the very disoriented. [Kotetsu comes to mind.]

But I think most of the people who work there woke up this morning not knowing to go to work, among other things. It's one of the reasons why I did, so early.

Would the disorientation not make it difficult for them to escape?

[It hadn't stopped her, no really, and she has to laugh a little at that. Then again there was residual memory she could blame.]

Because you realized the nature of this particular experiment?

For one reason or another, those who try the hardest to escape tend to be the ones that most need the rest. [The proud or, often, frightened ones.]

I didn't know just how widespread this would be, but when two of the people I live with woke with amnesia I thought checking on the patients would be safer - and I could always feel silly later for overreacting.

Better to be as cautious as possible with something like this. Though were I to listen to my own advice I would have remained in the clinic but...nothing seemed pressing, I do not feel ill, nor do I appear to be injured.

[She didn't feel unwell. Just. Terrified of what she's seeing, but she doesn't know if that's widely known. Best keep it to herself.]

You don't seem ill or injured either. Disoriented, though. [She hears the echo in that and laughs quietly.] A little bit like you are having trouble keeping things in focus.

I think all of that is completely understandable, given your condition.

I would blame that on the sudden lack of memory. It makes everything else somewhat fuzzy. I've facts and details but no context for them whatsoever, and that is just what I can recall offhand.

Yes, that is what I meant. Although if everything is fuzzy I would still worry a little bit.

[And they are at the Welcome Center; Mia holds the door for her, nodding at her to head inside.]

I'm worried, but. I've someone that knows what is going on with me. That is less reason to do so.
