Halloween is once again descending on Luceti! There's a maze and some mists and some ghoulish visitors and all kinds of pranks. Oh, and the parties. Don't forget the parties. Or the candy. Man, those kids on the draft don't know what they're missing.

As a reminder:

Starting on the 28th (yesterday) and going until the 31st, strange thngs are happening in Luceti. This is for those who have stayed behind from the draft OR for those who have been safely evacuated from the draft after their requisite quarantine time.

Get lost in the maze! Get rid of the spiders and rats and bats! Eat candy! Try on costumes! Do stuff unrelated to these weird happenings!

Be pranked! Do pranks of your own (if you wanna take advantage of the great scapeghosts)! Go to their harvest festival party!

Most of all? Have a spooktacularly fun time.

[She shakes her head. That's not important right now.] Oh, but I'm sure they will be kind. Because everyone is if you give them the chance.

[tomodachi]

...Yeah, sure. [He doesn't seem to believe her, but he doesn't really have much of a counter argument left as he's turning his attention back to the trash next to him.] Either way, this isn't helping me find my hat any faster.

Your hat?

[...Guess who forgot what they were doing. Oh Grune.]

[tomodachi]

...Don't tell me you forgot about it. [Grune...]

Oh, no, I didn't forget.

[Grune, you so did.]

[tomodachi]

[He just gives you the most disbelieving look he can muster before he rolls his eyes.]

Right...anyway, we should have been looking for it rather than wasting our time talking...

[lostinmyway]

[And she doesn't notice his look in the slightest.]

That's all right. It was nice talking with you like this.

[Not...his point.]

[tomodachi]

... [He doesn't have a reply for that as he instead focuses on searching through the next trash can...nope, not seeing his hat in here.]

Not here...tch. This is so stupid, it can't be that hard to find...

[He hasn't noticed yet that there's a ghost hanging out right above them nearby, showing off a hat it found to one of it's other ghost companions that have been haunting the place lately...]

[Grune, however, does notice--even if she doesn't make the connection that hey, this is kind of what they're looking for.]

Oh, what a nice hat.

[tomodachi]

--Huh? Where?

[Looking around them, but he hasn't thought to look straight up above him where it is yet.]

Over there. [She points.] Isn't it pretty?

[tomodachi]

[He looks where she's pointing at...and immediately bristles as he shouts upwards at the ghosts, nearly startling the one holding it.]

Hey, that's mine! Give it back! [But judging from the look they're giving him they don't want to give it back yet to some shouting kid, so Crow huffs as he's moving over to the side of the building to potentially climb up.] Well fine, I'll just go up and get it back myself!

[This can only end well.]

[Grune watches him in mild confusion.]

Oh, is that your hat, Crow?

[What makes you think that, Grune?]

[tomodachi]

[Gee Grune, what gave that away? Was it our shouting or our current attempts to climb up this building to get it back?]

Yeah, and I want it back! [Reaching a hand out towards the ghost is, waving his arm at it trying to catch it, but it works about as well as you'd expect. Okay, maybe we need to climb up higher and try to pounce it or something...]

Maybe you just need to ask them nicely.

[It could totally work, right?]

[tomodachi]

[He's about two seconds away from leaping from this part of the building at it when he hears Grune's suggestion. Didn't we just have this conversation about how asking people for things is too easy...]

And what if that doesn't work?

[We did, but what is memory?]

Oh, I'm sure it will work. After all, the ghosts are very nice.

[To her, anyway. But that might have something to do with the fact that she's been feeding them every piece of baked goods she can get her hands on.]

[tomodachi]

If they were so "nice", they wouldn't have taken my hat in the first place!

[Not even gonna consider the possibility that maybe we just misplaced it and they found it or what have you.]

Maybe they're trying to find who it belongs to.

[ With that thought in mind, she calls up:] Hello! We found out whose hat that is. Could you give it back, please?

[tomodachi]

[Hm? They dodge Crow's arm swipe when they float past him and over towards Grune as they gesture to the hat they're holding. You want this?

...Well, you did ask nicely, so maybe they could consider giving this to you...

And Crow will be over here trying not to facepalm because Grune's suggestion of just asking nicely may in fact be working...]

[She holds out her hand.]

Thank you very much!

[Grune, that may be a little preemptive....]

[tomodachi]

[Maybe, but they seem to be okay with that. However, Crow is walking over to stand by Grune now, so the ghost looks at him a bit warily before gesturing to Crow, as if asking if Grune is planning on handing this hat over to this guy once it hands the hat over to her.]

[She nods.]

Yes, that's right. He wants his hat back that very much.

[tomodachi]

[...Then why isn't he the one asking nicely for his hat back. (Then again judging by the look he's been giving them, that's not gonna happen easily.)

They make a gesture towards Crow now as if to say that they think he should be the one asking for it, not her. Crow doesn't seem to get it though.]

Look, you heard her, just give me my hat back and I won't try to take it back by force. [Yeah because that's gonna make them feel better Crow, by threatening them a little...]

Crow, dear, that's not very nice. You're going to hurt their feelings.
