Halloween is once again descending on Luceti! There's a maze and some mists and some ghoulish visitors and all kinds of pranks. Oh, and the parties. Don't forget the parties. Or the candy. Man, those kids on the draft don't know what they're missing.

As a reminder:

Starting on the 28th (yesterday) and going until the 31st, strange thngs are happening in Luceti. This is for those who have stayed behind from the draft OR for those who have been safely evacuated from the draft after their requisite quarantine time.

Get lost in the maze! Get rid of the spiders and rats and bats! Eat candy! Try on costumes! Do stuff unrelated to these weird happenings!

Be pranked! Do pranks of your own (if you wanna take advantage of the great scapeghosts)! Go to their harvest festival party!

Most of all? Have a spooktacularly fun time.

[Keeping one hand on Soren's head, Raven tries to follow Ikki's meandering words. At 'ghosts' she pales, not even hearing the concerned chirp from the bird beside her.]

I...no. I haven't. ...Ghosts?

[ Ikki nods, gesturing to the general Halloween atmosphere around them. ]

They've been doing these party things? I think they might've brought the maze, too, if only 'cause it showed up at the same time.

[Glancing quickly over either shoulder, Raven finds only mists. No ghosts. Phew.]

I'll just stay home.

[Nope Soren is protesting.]

[ Yep, he is. Wow, he really likes this girl. Ikki grins, and reaches out to take Raven's sleeve. ]

Do you not like ghosts?

[Instead of answering out loud, she frowns and shakes her head. No, she does not like ghosts. Not at all. Never seeing one again would be none too many.

Why are you holding that sleeve, small child.]

Do you want to do something else with Soren and I, then?

You never said how you two met!

In space, when he was a little bird.

[With Chien. Raven actually liked him.]

[Nod.]

It was a...draft for fighting. [She didn't like it. But it was better than this last one.]

There were no stars.

[Which was really, really off-putting and unsettling.]

...How could there be no stars?

I don't know. Something the Malnosso do.

So what was it like? How'd you breathe?

We were inside a building. It had air. [Not her favorite thing to talk about, space.] Or in a...moving space inn.

[ Well, there's not much more to be said there. Ikki tentatively tries for something more serious. ] So you were friends with Chien...?

Sort of. [Oh hush, little bird.] We knew each other. He was okay.

We were friends, too.

[Raven's learned something about you, Ikki.]

You're friends with everybody you meet.

I just meet lots of nice people!

[The truth is Ikki doesn't give up until people like her. And it works.]

So do you think people'll be meaner when I get older?

No. Why would they? [She's an ordinary if excitable human girl, they will almost certainly love her still.]
