Halloween is once again descending on Luceti! There's a maze and some mists and some ghoulish visitors and all kinds of pranks. Oh, and the parties. Don't forget the parties. Or the candy. Man, those kids on the draft don't know what they're missing.

As a reminder:

Starting on the 28th (yesterday) and going until the 31st, strange thngs are happening in Luceti. This is for those who have stayed behind from the draft OR for those who have been safely evacuated from the draft after their requisite quarantine time.

Get lost in the maze! Get rid of the spiders and rats and bats! Eat candy! Try on costumes! Do stuff unrelated to these weird happenings!

Be pranked! Do pranks of your own (if you wanna take advantage of the great scapeghosts)! Go to their harvest festival party!

Most of all? Have a spooktacularly fun time.

Hm, I see! [He was sort of aware that Silver had a Sneasel, but he hasn't really ~~tasted~~ talked to him about their Pokemon as much as he'd like to--he'll have to remember to do so at some point.] Then we'll have to be sure to make a Sneasel one that will have a sweet taste to it as well.

[In the meantime we can probably go rescue those apples from the fridge since it looks like it's getting close to "apple decorating time~" soon enough--are you ready to make the best candy-caramel apples ever Emmet?]

[Emmet sort of overwhelmed Silver and got some rudimentary information like that out of him... other information he got from Ingo, when Ingo would either boast quietly or voice concerns regarding Silver.]

I'll melt and mold chocolate, while you coat the apples with caramel!

[That way, they can get quite a bit done! Emmet's got chocolate to melt with a double-pot method, careful to stir it. In the meantime he's searching through the drawers for-- yes that will do, an ice cube tray. He can make blocks of chocolate to carve the shapes out of.]

Right--let's do our best at our respective stations. [He and his brothers used to delegate tasks to each other like this too, so he'll be checking on the caramel to make sure it's sufficiently melted to where it should be, and then preparing and working on coating one of the apples with the caramel...yes, good, looks like the caramel has the proper consistency for coating the apples with. He's actually kind of momentarily quiet, concentrating on the task at hand. Let's see if our candies and such will properly stick to this like they should once the caramel starts to harden on this apple...]

[Emmet's setting the chocolate for now! But more importantly, he's got chocolate ready for drizzling!]

--Darn, what do you use to drizzle chocolate?

Oh, you use one of these--[One moment, where do we keep them...ah, here they are. He hands over some plastic squeeze bottles.] You fill these up with the chocolate and then you can use them to drizzle the chocolate onto our apples.

Right! Okay. I'm going to pour the chocolate in, can you hold it?

[Teamwork!]

Yes, of course we can assist with that... [Cilan doesn't mind holding it in place for him so that he's able to pour the chocolate in ~~provided that they don't make a mess doing so somehow, but we're sure that isn't going to happen~~. (It's teamworking time!)]

[Emmet is quite careful not to spill any of the boiling hot melted chocolate on Cilan! Though he does drip some on himself, laughing uncomfortably.]

I didn't get any on you, right?

Don't worry--it's not a taste we're not accustomed to in the kitchen. [Our brother is Chili, we've probably been accidentally burned while cooking stuff quite a few times before. Luckily though it looks like we avoided getting any on our hands or sleeves, though he does notice where it's been dripped onto you.] Though it looks like you weren't quite as lucky. Are you alright?

Ah-chah-chah... it's hot, but I'm fine. The laundry will be the bigger pain.

[THAT IS WHAT YOU GET FOR WEARING NOTHING BUT WHITE, EMMET.]

Well, let's try to be a little more careful, alright? In the meantime I would suggest checking to make sure it didn't get on your skin, and if it did, then it should be run under some cold water from the sink--it wouldn't do well to have burns to deal with, as they can have quite a painful taste if left alone...

[As for your coat sleeve uh...yeah, that's probably a laundry problem haha... ~~but we wear white dress shirts all the time so he sort of knows how to deal with that too.~~]

It's fine, I don't think I'm burned. I can just get some burn heal later.

[He forgets that those sorts of things aren't readily available around here. Whoops!]

[...But Burn Heal isn't that readily available around here. He's sort of giving a scrutinizing look, as if trying to see if he can notice any burns from here...it doesn't look like it got on his hands or anywhere else noteworthy from what we can see, but--]

If you insist, but I'd still be careful and keep an eye out for any potential burns nonetheless.

Don't worry about me! Now, hurry, before the chocolate cools!

Ah, right--[Yes, let's get back to work here while we put the lid on this and can now use it to drizzle some chocolate onto this apple...]

[Yes, good! Emmet pulls up his sleeves, and aside from a little bit of redness he's gotten away with no burns. Take that, clumsy chocolate pouring!

He'll just work with the chocolate he's trying to set, putting it in the freezer.]

Ah! You should do railroad tracks on one! Ingo won't eat a whole apple, but he'll like something like that.

Oh, excellent idea! It'll add a nice and charming taste to it~!

[Railroad tracks of chocolate on apples, why didn't we think of that sooner. He'll be proceeding to do just that now for one of the apples--it's drizzling time?]

It can be the apple that you, Ingo and I split!

[Since we're all such train lovers, here. While Cilan decorates, Emmet caramel-coats more apples, setting them up to cool or be decorated (or both).]

[Oh, of course!] Sure, I don't mind sharing.

[Well, if we remember to split it and we don't end up eating one of the other apples instead. ^^;;]

[Hahah, well, the more you make the more there is to eat, at least. Even Emmet can't quite resist a taste of the caramel that drips onto the wax paper on the counter.]

Mmm... I love sweets!

[Cilan has slightly better self-control than sneaking a taste of the caramel or anything like that yet, even if it is somewhat tempting. Instead he just laughs a little.]

Mm, I agree! Though I don't think I've met anyone yet who didn't like the taste of sweets in some way...

Actually, Ingo doesn't like them that much! When he has sweets, it's in very small amounts. He prefers strong flavors, like the bitterness of coffee. That's usually what he has for dessert!

Really? Hm... [We'll have to remember that next time we make tea so that we can offer coffee too.] In small amounts and with stronger flavors...I see! That does sound like something that would fit Ingo's tastes...

[The only reason he didn't assume that sooner was because...well. The Ingo we know here is slightly different than the Ingo we're aware of and so we still have to adjust our assumptions that we have on some things. Now he's sort of musing out loud.] I wonder if he would be the type to like sweets such as dark chocolate, since they have more bittersweet tastes in comparison to regular or white chocolate--though I suppose it depends on the percentage of cocoa that's used in each type since the higher percentage it has, then the taste is less sweet... [~~blah blah rambling about chocolate~~]

Yes! He likes dark chocolate a lot. And strange chocolates with unique flavors, like orange chocolate, are more fun for him than really sweet candy.

--But he'll like caramel apples, because he likes apples! We can put a little bit of salt in the caramel to cut the sweetness.

[Oh? Well, it still sort of vaguely falls under the category of candies and things, but that's actually really interesting!]

Alright--making an adjustment in taste for him shouldn't be difficult. [Let's go ahead and do that for one of the other apples too...] Do you have a type of chocolate or other types of sweets you like in particular as well, Emmet?
