EVENT LOG: POLTERGEIST PRANKSTERS

Who: ....Ghostbusters?
What: If there somethin' strange in your neighbourhood?
When: Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
Where: If there's something weird and it don't look good...
Summary: Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
Rating: I ain't afraid of no ghosts.

Halloween is once again descending on Luceti! There's a maze and some mists and some ghoulish visitors and all kinds of pranks. Oh, and the parties. Don't forget the parties. Or the candy. Man, those kids on the draft don't know what they're missing.

As a reminder:
  • Starting on the 28th (yesterday) and going until the 31st, strange thngs are happening in Luceti. This is for those who have stayed behind from the draft OR for those who have been safely evacuated from the draft after their requisite quarantine time.
  • Get lost in the maze! Get rid of the spiders and rats and bats! Eat candy! Try on costumes! Do stuff unrelated to these weird happenings!
  • Be pranked! Do pranks of your own (if you wanna take advantage of the great scapeghosts)! Go to their harvest festival party!
  • Most of all? Have a spooktacularly fun time.

It exists somewhere else on this world, where our people are currently fighting. It needs to be stopped before it comes to Luceti.

There are zombies here? Really? [Don't sound so excited, Perona.] But I've never heard of a zombie virus before. Hogback-san and Moria-sama could just make them themselves.

[But a zombie virus kind of sounds gross. If it's a disease, then it can be transmitted, right? Perona's smart enough to make the connection right away.] ...How is the virus transmitted, and what becomes of the body? Does it begin to rot and decay like a true corpse?

[Because that doesn't sound very nice at all. Or cute. In fact, it sounds icky.]
deathsdoctor: (Neutral | That is unpleasant)

Blood and body fluids. If it gets in an open would or the infected person manages to bite another...

    [He trails off. Goners.]

For the first six hours after the infection has caused them to turn, the infected are adrenaline charged monsters. Far stronger than they are normally. Then the strain sets in and they deteriorate. Until the only thing keeping them alive is the virus... everything in them is ravaged beyond any sort of grace.

[Bite?! Eugh...that sounds disgusting! And as much as she likes zombies, her favorites were the cute animals ones. Like hell does she want to be around the dimmer, brainless, meat-sucking type that'd turn her into one. Perona cares too much for her life and her body for that.]

Th-That's...terrible. [And she means it. It's not the Zombies Hogback made. Those were just pieces of things and animals put together. Already dead things reanimated by another's shadow.] Have you made any progress with the cure, Law-san?
    deathsdoctor: (Neutral | I don't accept that)

... an actual cure, not yet. There have been strides made... there is a vaccine for the uninfected and a... proto-cure of sorts that allows the infected to at least keep their mind...

    [His lips suddenly twist, frustrated.]

    But no complete cure.

[Perona frowns as well, and crosses her arms over her chest. She's no doctor, lest she's offer to help, but she can at least do something that may work to law's benefit. Hopefully.]

...I can't do much to assist with the medicine, but I can try to keep the spirits from bothering you while you work. They shouldn't be a problem if I can control them - but I can't guarantee the visitors will listen. My hollows will leave you be, however, if I will it. [Or assist in pest control. Hmm...never did try them out on another ghost, either. Wonder if it works.]
deathsdoctor: (Neutral | got my attention now)

[There's a CRASH somewhere in the background and Law slowly looks toward the sound.

    For god sakes, not again.]

That would be much appreciated, Miss Perona.
    hollower: (Laughter.)

    [...Pfff.

A "horohorohoro" giggle later and Perona's sliding right on over to where she heard the crash. This, hopefully, shouldn't take long at all. Four hollows is probably overkill, but hey - it's halloween! She can afford to make a few spirits miserable.

Hope you're not at all bothered by the gross sobbing that'll be coming around soon. Perona, however, looks rather pleased.]

Ah, they can work on other ghosts! How fun!
