EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

"Warriors who are too full of themselves are always a shame," she agrees, lips twitching into a smile. "They can also be a great deal of fun. Did you have something in mind?"

"Some recompense for their throwing rocks at me might be warranted. Apparently pointed ears makes one a demon in this place."

"Imbeciles."

There's disdain in her voice as she rolls her eyes, a sharp edge to her smile as her fingers brush against the handle of her dagger once more. "Perhaps they need re-educated."

"As much as I would enjoy disarming them violently- we were cautioned against it. Tricking them out of their blades would be so much more satisfying, wouldn't you say?" A good fight got the blood up, but a good trick? Oh that left an elf glowing for days.

"Probably a safer way to start, at least until we find out what they are capable of," she agrees. Not that she's not prepared to take a few down anyway, if it comes to that, but she'll play by the rules as long as it suits her.

"I'll follow your lead, shall I? Since you've apparently encountered them already."

"You mean you wish me to poke my head about the corner and risk another shower of the stony sort?" He is truly about to say no. That is his intent. But something in the way the light hits her hair and the way she holds herself, so light, so certain, has him agreeing far before he was ever ready to consider it. Brasca.

"I shall run reconnaissance. You shall remain here, unnoticed and unbruised."

She arches an eyebrow at that, looking skeptical. "I bruise far less easily than you'd think," she counters with a shake of her head, crossing her arms over her chest and regarding him a moment. "How quick are you? If I engage their attention, can you slip one of the blades free?"

"Haha- you misunderstand!" He cracks an easy laugh. "It is less that I think you fragile and more that I worry what might happen to them if they manage to hit you. But that does sound like a very fine plan. Give a signal when you are ready for me to swoop down upon them and relieve them of their blades.

"That's a valid worry," she replies wryly, a smirk twisting her lips. "I shall do my very best to behave. Just be careful with your swooping. I can't imagine stoney showers would be anywhere near pleasant. let's try to avoid more of those, shall we?"

She pauses a moment, tucking a curl behind her ear and straightening her kimono before settling into a ploy, a subtle shift in her demeanor as she strolls around the corner to find Zevran's samurai. She doubts they'll be difficult to spot.

"I'll be the most careful elf you have ever seen, My lady." he sweeps into a courtly bow and starts up into the wood, finding a vantage point from which to observe.

Around the corner, loitering and laughing, were the five Samurai. They weren't that formidable in appearance, but with their blades they did not need to be. The leader catches sight of Natasha and nudges the rest to pay attention, and he dips his head to her respectfully.
