EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

I'm no native to this place. I don't know why I ended up in there... aside from the Malnosso's questionable sense of humor.

You didn't hear about the shift?

It was in the book. They changed the village and hid items in a giant scavenger hunt. Kind of like a mission, only it's really just a test.

Ah, that. I heard about it, but I assumed I would be able to avoid... most of it.

[Usually he can deal if it's just some sort of environmental change- it's the physical ones that always bother him.]

It seems they wanted to ensure I didn't miss it.

Yeah um... they do that a lot. Especially if you try to avoid it. [Spreads her hands in a shrug.] Sometimes I think they make it inescapable just to prove that they can, you know?

That would explain how I end up in these... predicaments.

[He doesn't sound very thrilled about this, but he's too used to it happening, unfortunately.]

Probably. You don't have to go on the scavenger hunt if you don't want to, though I don't know why you'd want to miss out on an easy 40 points! But I'm not sure there's any place you can get away from all this, honestly.

You might be able to fake a halfway interest though.

[At least he's somewhat reconsidering the idea of staying inside all experiment. It's not as if he can avoid the dramatic alterations to the area, and to his own home, as well.]

I can't think of any reason you wouldn't want to get them. Especially this easily.

I see... then you have a challenge ahead, considering some of those locations.

Possibly, but good treasure is never too easy to obtain. That's how you know it's rare and high class.
