Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[He moves his hand away from his face where it had been shielding his eyes when he senses someone approach. He's not at all surprised and little bit relieved to see that it's Natasha.

His mouth opens to greet her, but then he remembers his current state of dress. Or lack thereof. Mostly. Because his only piece of clothing is long, white linen that reaches his knees. And the golden bands around both of his upper arms are a nice touch. Overtaken by a sudden need for modesty in a lady's presence, he quickly crosses his arms.]

Morning Natasha. I haven't been waiting long. The apartment is not too far from here.

So you get to wander around in a loincloth all day, then? I'm suddenly regretting the fact that I'm all the way over in Japan.

[She can't help but tease him, her smile impish as she notices his self-consciousness and the way he crosses his arms over his chest. Which does little for modesty, really, but shows off his muscles nicely. Still, she doesn't stare, mostly because beyond a little teasing, she has no intention of making him uncomfortable.]

What have you found out?

[His resulting blush starts from his cheeks before spreading to his ears. Well so much for professional behavior. It's a relief that she doesn't stare, even though he's still confused about ladies find so appealing about him and his...physique.

The question comes as a welcome break from his thoughts.]

I've noticed a pattern in the priests movements. A couple of times a day a they make visits to the palace and the pyramids. Some go in pairs of two or three but many do so alone. There seems to be a system in place on who goes to which pyramid so I picked this one and found out that it gets visited three times a day. Once in the morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening. If I have it right, a priest should be here within the hour.

[The flush spreading over his skin is impossible to miss and Natasha fights a smile, subduing the sudden urge to see how far she could make it spread if she didn't allow the subject change. A very powerful temptation, but she ignores it. For the moment.

Instead, she considers the information he's learned, nodding in understanding as she processes it.]

Have you seen this dagger we're supposed to find? Do they all carry one, or is it a singular item we have to locate? And hope we got lucky and picked the right priest who carries it?

I've spotted many of the priest wearing a dagger tied to their side. I'm assuming that's what we're looking for. There's a chance we might have to hunt for another priest carrying one if the one that shows up isn't wearing his. But I don't think that's likely.

Well, from what the announcement said and what I saw yesterday in the Japanese area, we're better off trying to avoid violence unless it becomes necessary. And if this is something sacred to their priesthood, they're not just going to hand it over if we say 'please'.

[She chews on a thumbnail for a moment in thought.]

I wonder if they're eunuchs? I don't think that was a common habit among Egyptian priesthood...

[His brows furrow as he glances over at her.]

What does that have to do with anything?

[Her expression is patiently bemused as she takes in his expression.]

Because that might determine if we're better off sending you to be intimidating or me to be... me.

[He stares blankly for a moment before realization dawns. Oh.]

Oh.

Well...I've never heard anything like that about them. Not not I'm much of a expert. But do you really think that would work?

[Oh Steve. Aren't you adorable?

Her bemused smile grows a little wider at that and she tucks her hands behind her back as she regards him with a knowing look.]

You haven't known me long enough to know that's a silly question, so I'll let it go this time. We can try it my way first, and if that fails, well... you can just come flex your muscles at him a bit. One of us is bound to have a little luck.

[And there goes a flush of red through his cheeks. He glances away, looking anywhere but at Natasha.]

I'm sure you're very good...at what you do. I'm not doubting that. I just think it might be better to find another way...
