EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[Hiccup is momentarily distracted by the sight of familiar garb, but the cavemen hot on his trail mean he doesn't have much time for distractions. Though when he realizes that the door is opened for him and that someone viking-like is waving him in, he practically dives inside the doorway.]

[When the boy just dives inside, Henry is quick to shut and lock the door, as well as shoving a now ice ageified wardrobe in front of it. Those cave men looked mean after all!]

Are you okay?

[dragoneer]

[For a moment, Hiccup just...lies there, prostrate on the floor, exhausted from his escape.]

Y-yeah, I think so. Thanks. They almost had me there.

[O-Oh God, is this guy dead? Henry is just staring at him for a moment before, oh wait he's just tired.]

It's no problem, I couldn't just leave you out there.

[dragoneer]

[After another moment, Hiccup sits up, heaving a big sigh.]

They've been chasing me all day. And...all the days before, too. I really need to stop making enemies.

But why were they chasing you?

[This guy wasn't killing them was he?]

[dragoneer]

[He gives an exhausted shrug.]

I wish I knew. Then maybe I'd have some prayer at placating them.

[theboywiththebook]

[Oh, okay so long as it wasn't a killing rampage that's good.]

They didn't seem like the kind of people that would want to listen anyways. Are you okay though?

[dragoneer]

Yeah...yeah, I'm fine. Just a little tired. [His stomach growls.] And hungry. You wouldn't happen to have any food, would you?

Um well...

[Henry opens up his bag and searches through it, soon pulling out a chocolate bar.]

I got this.

[dragoneer]

[Hey man, that's better than nothing!]

If you don't mind, I'd love some of that.

[theboywiththebook]

Sure.

[And Henry proceeds to hand it over. Sitting down across from Hiccup he looks at the teenager.]

Have you been running all this time without eating?

[dragoneer]

Ahh...not entirely. I get breaks every now and again. But they're usually pretty short lived.

[He takes a bite out of the chocolate. Ah, that's the stuff.]

[theboywiththebook]

Oh...well my name's Henry. It's nice to meet you.

[Well, as nice as meeting someone who was being chased by a horde could get.]

[dragoneer]

Nice to meet you, Henry. I'm Hiccup.

[Great name, he knows.]

Hiccup?

[He doesn't sound like he's judging it. Actually, it sounds like he's repeating it, like he's heard the name before.]

You...you're the guy with the dragon ,right?

[dragoneer]

Oh, yeah, that's me! Toothless. You've heard of him?

[Yep, he's the kid with a dragon.]

[theboywiththebook]

[Henry nods just a little. Can you tell he's highly uncomfortable with a thought of a dragon here?]

He's...not evil is he?

[dragoneer]

[He can. And it's not the first time the presence of a dragon has made someone nervous here.]

No, not at all. Do you...know some evil dragons?

[theboywiththebook]

My grandpa had to slay one that was hurting a kingdom. My mom also defeated one to try and save me.

[dragoneer]

[Oh, whoa, really?]

So - are there a lot of them in your world, then?

[theboywiththebook]

No, not really. I mean, in the Enchanted Forest there was probably lots, but in Storybrooke, there was only one.
