EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...
Summary: See this post for more info.
Rating: P for Points! (Keep it PGish, folks. Anything worthy of a higher rating can be brought to your appointments posts.)

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

Happy hunting!

I guess. So what, that mean you're not gonna try an' get the rest of the stuff?
knightofratatosk: (Whoops)

I dunno. I'm not exactly sure what I'd use the points for, anyway. I still don't really understand how that whole system works.
sugarglitch: (you're not from here are you?)

Dunno how it works here, but where I'm from points usually mean great prizes! [Or at least, that's how it works at Mr. Litwak's Arcade.] And I'm gonna try and win me a kart.
knightofratatosk: (Derpface)

[personal profile] knightofratatosk 2012-12-04 02:59 am (UTC)(link)
A... kart? Why would you want one of those?

[He's thinking of a shopping cart here.]
sugarglitch: (shut up and drive)

[personal profile] sugarglitch 2012-12-06 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
Because walking's too slow! I need the wind in my hair!
knightofratatosk: (Whoops)

[personal profile] knightofratatosk 2012-12-06 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
Wouldn't you still have to push it, unless you were going down a hill?
sugarglitch: (what a moron)

[personal profile] sugarglitch 2012-12-06 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Not that kinda kart! One with an engine, doy. What else kinda kart needs a whole buncha points for?
knightofratatosk: (Uh what)

[personal profile] knightofratatosk 2012-12-06 04:58 am (UTC)(link)
... you can put engines on shopping carts?
sugarglitch: (hmmm)

[personal profile] sugarglitch 2012-12-06 05:05 am (UTC)(link)
[Vanellope rolls her eyes.]

Yeah, you can totally put on engines on shopping carts! That way you can zip through the supermarket lickety split.
knightofratatosk: (Happy smile)

[personal profile] knightofratatosk 2012-12-06 05:07 am (UTC)(link)
[He's totally falling for it. IT SOUNDS AWESOME TO HIM, OKAY.]

Wow, I'd never thought about that before! I bet it makes shopping a whole lot faster. And you wouldn't even have to push them if you can drive them, either!
sugarglitch: (gasps)

[And the more she thinks about it, the more awesome it actually seems...]

Yeah. It'd be a whole lot more fun, too. You could even race with other people in the grocery! Make a whole track out of all the shelves and aisles and stuff...
knightofratatosk: (Wondering)

[personal profile] knightofratatosk 2012-12-11 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I think you'd have to make the aisles bigger to be able to fit more than one cart down them at a time, though.
