EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[ There's a startled moment where Ikki juggles her mochi, but when she turns Raven gets a full-fledged grin of recognition. She's perfectly at ease in the Shogunate; it's closer to her home than anything else Luceti has thrown at her, and the clothes aren't too dissimilar from other things she's worn, either.

But it's mostly the peaceful atmosphere that reminds her of Air Temple Island. And maybe something of the relaxed nostalgia shows through. ]

Raven!!! How are you?

Fine. [Should have expected a huge grin like this. The Shogunate doesn't settle Raven the way a farming village might, but it is very calm here.]

Mmh...how are you?

[breezing]

I'm good! Soren's around, if you wanted him. ...Well, he should be over here pretty quick anyway.

[ She giggles; at this point Ikki's well aware that Soren's fond of the other girl, and expects her ever-watchful companion will be winging their way. ] Where d'you live? I mean, which place did you start out in?

[pendantry]

Soren is around even when I don't want him. [Which, granted! is almost never. Curbing his endearing advances only makes her think more fondly of him.

It would never work out, and he'll have to learn that some day, but.]

An ice...castle.

[breezing]

Well, we're sort of a pair now!! He's just bein' careful 'cause some of these samurai people are demon hunting. [ SHRUG. She's not sure if they'd attack Soren specifically, but Ikki and Soren have been more or less playing it safe.

No reason to spook the NPC natives. ]

Oh, so over in the Ice Age? Have you been staying there?

[pendantry]

[Demon hunting? Huh. She hasn't seen any but her priority is on getting the stuff, not taking in the scenery.]

That's where my apartment is. [So. Yes.]

[breezing]

[ Soren drops down beside them about now. He may or may not have been teasing some kappas. That's totally productive, right? ]

Hey! [ Directed at the bird pokemon. ] So, Raven, are you doing the game thing?

[pendantry]

Yes. I want to win.

[A bit less forceful than her usual need to win but there are more challenges and challengers here.]

[breezing]

Can't lots of people win? [ Or is this a race? ...She wasn't that interested in the game, for once, since most of the items sounded a bit dangerous to consider worrying her grandparents about. ]

Oh, the items for this area are...one of 'em has to do with kappas, right?

Mmh. What's a 'kappa'?

They're sort of like...froggy creature things?

[ She's not sure how to explain it. ]
