EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[Well, wouldn't Eugene be so proud...]

Alright! As long as we return it later. But...I've never stolen anything before. How do I do it?

[sugarglitch]

That's easy. All you gotta do is be sneaky. [She glances back at the aliens with the ray guns they need. Hmm.]

Look, all you gotta do is distract 'em a little. I'll take care of the rest!

[gleamed]

[Distract them...] Oh! You mean like...with my feminine charms?

[sugarglitch]

[Feminine charms....? Vanellope blinks. Then she makes a face.]

Gross. But whatever works I guess. I'll just try not to puke while you do that, okay?

[gleamed]

[Rapunzel chuckles. Don't worry, Vanellope. Her definition of 'feminine charms' is not entirely accurate.]

Right! Um - do we need a signal, or something? So I know when to make my exit?

[sugarglitch]

Nah, I'll get out of there real quick, you'll know when to leave, promise! [Grinning! If you have another plan, Rapunzel, now might be a good time to figure it out!]

[gleamed]

Oh - okay! Well, then...here goes nothing!

[She starts towards the aliens, considering several strategies of how she might employ her feminine charms.]

[Vanellope hangs back, even walks away casually ("casually", or so she thinks) til she's around a corner of some house or the other. Then she peers back at where Rapunzel's distracting those aliens. Thankfully their ray guns are in their holsters, so that makes her plan a little easier.

Once she sees that their attention's pretty much on Punzie, Vanellope quickly glitches her way over: one second she was at the corner, and in the next, right behind the closest alien, one hand on his gun! Hopefully she was quick enough that they didn't notice...!]

[gleamed]

...And so I said to them, 'that's my steering wheel!' [She pauses for laughter, which doesn't come, but at least the aliens are paying attention to her (in annoyance, mostly) and don't notice Vanellope.

At least, until Rapunzel spots her and grins - which is a bit too obvious for the aliens to miss.]

A-anyway, I've got to go, it was a pleasure meeting you!

[Time to get out of here, and quick!]

[Vanellope in the meantime had carefully glitched that first blaster right through one alien's holster! She'd been in the middle of the reaching for a second one when the aliens look at Rapunzel suspiciously - one of them follows Punzie's too-wide grin and spots the little glitch in the middle of her sneaky theft. ("Hey! What're you doing, brat?!")

She just grins up at him widely.]

Now ya see me, now ya d͑ͣ̓ͤ͛ͦͥͤȯ̾̈n̏̄ͩt̃ͤͫͥ͋ͪ͋! [And at that last word, she's suddenly right behind Rapunzel and grabbing her hand.]

Come on, let's get outta here!
