EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

I'll come with you, then. [He grins a little sheepishly.] Well... you said Pops drank sake under cherry blossom trees on a spring island, right? This place seems kinda what it would've been like.

[Laughs softly and grabs Ace's hand to drag him along.] Aye, he did. Think we should look for sake too?

[He follows along, grinning and giving a nod.] Yeah! And we can ask for a cup to put the water from the kappa in.

Good idea. Sounds like you're getting into this treasure hunt idea, eh? Enjoying the chance for a bit of piracy?

Heheh, yeah. It's been a while since we've done anything fun, so I thought this would be a nice break.

But if these samurais are anything like Vista, it'll be impossible to take their swords.

Aye. Same if they're anything like the Wano islanders. Maybe you can trick one though? The Malnosso did say it was to try to prove we don't always assume everything has to be done with violence, eh. [Shrugs. Marco doesn't care either.]

Wouldn't just knocking one out work faster? Unless we find a really stupid samurai. [You can see how much Ace values the Malnosso's advice.] How would we trick one, anyway?

[Shrugs.] Beats the hell out of me. I could maybe convince him I was a god and we need his sword to behead... some other god.

I have my doubts about that. Ahhh, let's get some food and then think about it. It's better to come up with plans on a full stomach.

[Gestures to a mochi stand and grabs them some green tea.]

Damn nothing like green tea surrounded by koi ponds, eh?

[Ace takes this time to grab a few dozen packs of mochi.] Yeah... this is what I meant by "quiet".

[Snags one from Ace and munches down. Yaaaay carbohydrates.]

Something you've missed lately? I'd think you'd almost be sick of it at this point, eh.

[You enjoy those, bro.] Well, the past couple of weeks haven't exactly been restful. And I was sort of miserable for most of them.

[Side glance.]

Feeling better now?

[hiken_ace]

[He smiles at him as he takes a seat under one of the cherry blossom trees.] Yeah. A lot better.

[fierybluebird]

[Snuggles and gives Ace a light affectionate noogie.]

Good. You were starting to worry me, eh.

And I have something to tell you.

[hiken_ace]

[He hugs him back, popping a few mochi in his mouth.] Sorry. But you know I can't stay down forever.

Hm? What's up?

[Argh... now that he has to do it, the words are sticking. Of course. Okay, hugging Ace tighter.]

[Bravery, bravery. Trying to be as brave as Ace.]

I talked to a couple of friends and I think I understand why you were mad at me better, eh? [Rests his head on top of Ace's.] And about the whole... being stuck watching everyone from afar.

Ahh... sorry, I'm really bad at this.
