EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

[Robert nods as he threads a tea infuser full of aromatic leaves into his mug to let it steep.] Of... of course. And certainly the rest of Luceti... m-must be just as fascinating right now.

My nanocomputer is... functional, at l-least... So I will be able to take notes. [And he is certainly interested in looking at what the simulations contain.]

[He pokes irritatedly at his not-very-full plate, then proceeds to eat his breakfast.]

... Perhaps I can... consider it a gift, from the M-Malnosso. For my birthday.

[Twenty-six years old, now. Sometimes it doesn't feel like he's been here almost two years...]

[Robert just smiles and reaches across the table to touch the back of Don's hand briefly.]

... Thank you. [Not just for the little things like this, but for... being with him this whole time. It means so much.]

Do you want to explore together, or ... ?

[He trails off, partly because the end of the question is obvious, and partly because he's too busy staring at Robert's plate.]

[Well that kind of ruined the attempt at romanticism. Robert really wishes he could just give some of it to Don, but...]

... Of c-course. If you want to. [That could help take his mind off of food, anyway.]

[There's a small but noticeable delay before Don's attention snaps back to the conversation.]

I'd like to see the "Space" area.

As would I... [Robert is a little curious to see how it's depicted, anyway.]

... Truly, I would... like to explore every r-region... but I realize some areas would be difficult for you...

[He nods, somewhat distractedly.]

Understandable. Though... I am not certain if a simulation would cause you any permanent damage, the fact remains that... the temperatures may vary extremely in... certain areas.

[And he does worry.]

It's not the immediate effects that I worry about.

[Would there even be enough of an effect long-term, though?

... It's probably better not to push that luck.

Robert finishes eating and brings his plate to the sink to clean. Even the metal of the sink looks... different, right now.]

I can... go on my own, to the places that are... l-less suitable for you...

[It is, though it might be hard to tell from Don's demeanor.]

[Robert notices this... harsh edge, though he's hoping it's from Don's self-imposed hunger and not from anything he did himself.]

Would... you l-like me to bring anything back for you, other than notes...?

[A grunt that resembles irritated indifference.]

[Robert is really not sure how to be taking this. Don might notice the sudden but slight shift in his demeanour as he begins to pick his words more carefully.]

Of course. Are there... any areas you would especially like holophotography of...?

[He doesn't really notice.]

The ice world, I guess. The others I can go to myself.
