EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

I guess. [She sticks her tongue out at him with a grin.]

Wait, so we drivin' some time today or not? I'm waitin' here!

Yeah yeah, hang on...

[Oh good, the door's actually been left unlocked on this car--no need for breaking any windows here. He'll open the car door to take a look around inside, turning his attention to where the wheel is. That's probably what makes it move...but where do you put the key in this thing?]

[sugarglitch]

[Hopping right over so she's standing on the driver's seat! And peering around a bit because huh, this is a little different from her kart back home...]

Hm... So we've gotta look for a keyhole... [Bending and peering and oh! She points under the wheel!] Ooh, try it here!

[tomodachi]

Got it. [Reaching under the wheel with the keys to try to get this one to fit...no, no good. He frowns a bit before he tries one or two of the other keys on this key ring, but it doesn't look like any of these keys belong to this particular car...]

I can't get any of these keys to fit there. Is there any other keyhole or do we have to try a different one?

[sugarglitch]

Huh, that's weird... You sure you got the keys from this car? [She looks up at him accusingly as if this was all his fault.]

[tomodachi]

[Wow no this is not our fault. >:|]

Tch, so what if it's not this one? We'll just have to check a different car, that's all.

[Maybe this other car will have it...but the door's locked on this one. Hrm.]

[sugarglitch]

[No no Vanellope's innocent until proven guilty. Diplomatic immunity and all~]

Did you not look at the car you took the keys from? It could be any of the ones around here!

[She rolls her eyes and glitches through the locked door so she can unlock it from the inside. She's a little too comfortable with breaking into cars, uh.]

[tomodachi]

[Crow doesn't care about breaking and entering either--at least Vanellope's method is cleaner, where as Crow would have broken the window just now if Vanellope hadn't glitched through the door instead.]

Then that'll just make it all the more exciting when we find the right one.

[Leaning over to check the keyhole under the wheel for this car...nope, dead end here too. Maybe the third car we break into will be the charm?]

[sugarglitch]

Yeah, if we don't take forever to find it!

[Once it's apparent that this isn't the car, Vanellope takes the keys and glitches ahead to the next closest one!]

Come on, slowpoke! Move your molasses, this could be it!

Hey! [Who said you could take the keys? He quickly makes his way over to the next car with her, but he's quick to snatch the keys back from her hand (and a slightly immature response of muttering something that sounded like "brat") before he opens the car door--this one's been left unlocked like the first car they checked before...augh, please this be the one.]

Ugh, it can't be that hard to get these keys to fit somewhere...wait. [The car makes a sound of the ignition turning over--this is the right car! Of course, Crow doesn't know what that noise actually means.] Is it supposed to be making that noise?
