EVENT LOG: SCAVENGER HUNT

Who: All you scavenger hunters!
What: Scavenging and other fantabulousness, I suppose.
When: November 24th to 28th
Where: The whole village! And yet also all over time and space...

Rating: P for Points! (Keep it PGish, folks. Anything worthy of a higher rating can be brought to your appointments posts.)

As announced by CJ, the village's immediate environs are divided up according to this map. There are five areas: the Nile, Ice Age, Space Opera, Shogunate, and Gangland. Time-and-place appropriate architecture and conjured up NPCs exist in each area.

Don't forget the scavenger hunt! While actually finding things is ultimatly optional, you can find more information on the hunt here. If you want to claim a reward from the hunt, be sure to link at least two related threads on the new rewards claims post.

Finally, here's a quick rundown of the objects:
- In THE NILE: A ceremonial dagger and a piece of Pharoah's treasure
- In GANGLAND: A tommy gun and a set of car keys
- In ICE AGE: A bone spear and a smilodon's tooth
- In SPACE OPERA: a raygun and part of a robot
- In SHOGUNATE: a samurai sword and water from a kappa's head

A-already? Are we sure Eduardo's ready for a relationship?!

Of course he is! He wants baby Eduardos!

[ GET ON THIS TRAIN OR LEAVE, AANG. ]

Wow, he's really serious about this! [He leans over to Eduardo's ear.] Hey, Eduardo! Follow your heart and lead us to the one you love!

[breezing]

[ Yes! Away, Eduardo!

Who may or may not be completely disinterested in airbenders and their shenanigans! ]

Day 2!

[And Eduardo will eventually come to a halt. Because there's a Smilodon skulking around before them.

Aang nudges Ikki and looks towards it confusion. Could this be a dangerous situation or... love at first sight?]

Day 2!

[breezing]

[ DEFINITELY love at first sight!!!

...Or at least not too dangerous, since Eduardo is lucky enough to have the Avatar, an airbender, and a pretty levelled up pokemon all sitting on his back. ]

Oooh! That's Lenora! [ Yep. ]

Day 2!

Lenora! [He says as if recognizing an old friend. He saunters up closer to Eduardo's ear and drapes himself casually alongside it to talk directly to him.]

C'mon, man! This is your big chance. She's not just going to lurk there forever!

Day 2!

[breezing]

She's a princess, grandpa! You have to be polite about it! [ JEEZ.

Eduardo has big mammoth dreams above his station.

Wow she misses Jinora.]

Yeah, Eduardo! Make a move!

Day 2!

How silly of me. [He raised himself just enough to manage a courtesy. Then he proceeds to scratch at Eduardo's ear.]

It's now or never, buddy. Or she's gonna go for some stuffy prince instead!

[And at Aang's inclination - or perhaps in reaction to being scratched at - Edwuardo stretches his trunk out, poking at Lenora. She immediately leaps to face him in bewildered confusion.]

Day 2!

[breezing]

[ Wow, a courtesy will pretty much have Ikki in stitches of laughter, even though she insisted on this.

Eduardo and Lenora: written in the stars. This is probably the first time a mammoth has ever willingly gotten this close to a mastodon, man. ]

Day 2!

[Lenora snarls at Eduardo some more as Aang watches.]

You got her attention. Now let her now how you feel!

[He nudged at Eduardo's ear, and the trunk reached forward again. This time, it stroked along the Smilodon's back. Lenora then seemed oddly... less tense.]

Day 2!

[breezing]

[ That's right, onlookers. The airbenders have cajoled the giant mammoth into petting the giant cat.

A day in the life. ]

See? She's warming up to you already!

Day 2!

You're doing a real good job, buddy.

[Lenora takes a few steps closer and paws at the trunk, as if it were a dangling cat toy. But after a few moments, she looks in another direction and dashes off.]

Day 2!

[breezing]

Lenora!!!!!!

[ ROMANCE: RUINED. ]

Day 2!

It's not over yet. Let's go, buddy. Yip yip!

[And so Aang starts having the mammoth charge in the direction that the smilodon ran... although there's no sign of it in the snowy wastes beyond some footprints that are quickly obscured by the winds.]

[breezing]

Lenora...

[ She can't spot here anywhere! Eduardo... ]

Day 2!

[Aang wraps one arm around Ikki and pets Eduardo with the other as the mammoth comes to a stop. It doesn't seem to see a point in continuing to pursue.]

It's okay, Eduardo. You tried your best.

[But then! A silhouette appears in the distance, drawing towards them.]

Day 2!

[breezing]

[ Ikki doesn't see that silhouette; she's turned her head into Aang's shoulder, hugging him back. Poor Eduardo! ]

Day 2!

[Aang gets caught up in hugging Ikki, too. But then they would both be alerted by Eduardo shifting as he watches the oncoming figure.

It is Lenora, who proceeds to drop a freshly-killed marsupial of some sort at Eduardo's foot and nudge it towards him. Aang gasps, both at the surprise and the joy plus how gross that is.
