Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[Ami... has graduated from being proud of efforts that still resulted in burning the poor things. She really could still use practice and pointers.]

What sort of recipe did you use?

Well, it was just a regular old sugar cookie recipe, really. Like, I had to make lots of them, so I couldn't really do anything fancier or it would have totally taken forever, even using two pans...!

It looks like you made quite a few. But, is it really alright? If it was because of the elves? You shouldn't have had to if you didn't want to.

[She hadn't really thought about whether it was okay or not. She just did as she was told like she usually did. She takes a moment to give it a little thought before answering.]

Well...It's not like he asked me to do anything like, embarrassing or anything. Besides I like baking, so it's not too bad! Especially when you think about the kind of stuff that usually happens around here, you know?

Mm... I guess that's true. [Still, she doesn't like the 'no choice' aspect. Of course, she'd complied with her elves anyway for the most part, too. ]

Repay...? Oh, gee, like, you don't have to do that! It's not like I was giving these out expecting to get anything!

[Except for not getting the bad end of what she assumed was some kind of weird Christmas-themed Malnosso mischief, but...well.]

Besides, like, I couldn't ask you to go to any kind of trouble over some cookies, you know? Just think of it as a gift or something!

Well, if you insist...But, like, don't go to too much trouble, you know? I mean, they're just cookies, after all. That's like, super nice of you, though!

But I guess people being nice to eachother is like, kind of what Christmas is about, huh? At least, that's what all those Christmas specials on TV said back home.

[Well... That seems to be what Luceti makes of it, at least. It's a bit different from what Ami was used to back home, but she likes this type of spirit of generosity and kindness.]

Of course I'd like to. And you're right: We should all get along well for the holiday.

Especially in a place like this, right? I mean, I guess it can be hard to get along with like, everyone but since we're all stuck here, it's good to like, at least try and stuff especially right now.

That's what I think, too. This isn't like back in our homes. There isn't time, or room, for arguments and fighting carried over from there.

[However, she suddenly thinks of a particular neighbor she has here in Luceti...]

But...I think it's okay to argue sometimes. Like, even around this time of year, sometimes you just have to tell someone off! Especially if they're like, rude and stuff.

[Ami is still the definition of bad at conflict.]

I think... it might be better to try to find common ground to get along instead. [Being rude back won't stop rudeness, either. She thinks, vaguely, of Nephrite. It had been kindness that had helped him the most.]

I guess...It's hard for me to try and think of anything we could have in common when he's always saying rude stuff to people about me. And he's so annoying! Like, he threw some Christmas party a few days ago and just decided I was going to help him, like, without even asking me first!

It's hard to get along with someone like that...Even when I think I'm starting to get him, he just starts getting on my nerves again.

[Ami laughs softly, not badly meant but sympathetic. She knows someone, very dear to her, who has a tendency to rush ahead like that.]

Perhaps he was just... enthusiastic about the party and thought you'd be willing to help. Still, he should have asked first. I hope everyone enjoyed the party in the end, at least.

Well... everyone did seem like they were having fun. And he did seem to really be excited about that party...

I guess it wouldn't hurt to be like, a little nice to him. ...Just for a little bit.

He might be willing to help out in return sometime, when you want to do something fun together, too.

Well, I kind of doubt that he'll want to help me...

...But maybe it would get him to stop saying such awful stuff about me. Even if I do kind of like, avoid doing anything together with him.

Maybe... it's a way to see you and spend time together after all. [She can understand why someone might act in a strange way, if they felt closed out by someone they wanted to be close to.]

I mean, we never did get along. Like, when he first got here, he ended up in my apartment and totally went through all my stuff. And sometimes I totally think I'm starting to get him, but then...

[A small sigh.]

Then he goes and shows me how annoying he is again.

Maybe... it will just take time, and patience. But in the end, I think it's better to have a friend, even if that takes a lot of work, than to have someone I don't get along with well.

[Though, she still is kind of wary about the whole thing...what Ami says does make sense. Plus it sounds terribly mature and smart, the kind of thing Pilouette wishes she would think to say once in a while.]

Well...O-Okay! I'll try to be nice to him then. Especially since we're next door neighbors and all. And it would be nice to have more friends, too.

[It's taken Ami a long time to get here. And admittedly, she talks the talk easier than she walks the walk. She still has trouble with trust at times.]

[Pilouette smiles. She really does enjoy the kind words and the fact that Ami seems to be taking her seriously. She then remembers the cookies. That's the whole reason she's even out here.]

Ah- That really is alright. Maybe only a few. [She'll probably offer them to Rei. And even between the two of them, it's unlikely for cookies to be eaten too quickly. Now if Usagi were still here...]
