Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[Shinji's doing the gift-giving thing today, too, so they'll probably bump into each other in the community housing building. He's personally just trying to ignore the mistletoe—maybe if he doesn't acknowledge it, it won't count?! Well, it's worth a try, anyway.

Either way, when he sees her, he smiles a little bit and waves.]

Hey, Pilouette. You look busy.

[Pilouette smiles, holding a small pile of packages, about to head out to deliver them. She offers a polite nod before answering.]

Yup! Like, I was just about to head out! What about you? Up to anything?

[He quickly shakes his head.]

Oh, not yet, but I'll be going out, too. I have some gifts to give out. I figured I would do it today in case everyone was busy tomorrow. You never know what'll happen in this place.

[ribbonbon]

Oh...I didn't even think about that...I mean, I didn't even think of the Malnosso pulling something tomorrow, but I guess with all the stuff that's been happening in the last couple days I wouldn't be surprised...

[She lowers her voice to a whisper before continuing, just in case.]

These elves are like, a little weird, aren't they?

[He lowers his voice a little, too. He can't help it—her paranoia is somewhat contagious...]

Y-yeah. Just a little. Are they supposed to be like that?

[Maybe they're normal in other worlds, who knows?!]

Like, I dunno. I've never met an elf before! I thought Santa's elves just like, made toys and junk. I've never heard of them following people around asking them to do stuff...

I've had one tailing me for like, four days making sure I was handing out cookies or singing or whatever...! It could have been worse, I guess, but...

At least it didn't ask you to do anything embarrassing. [...well, singing could probably be pretty embarrassing. He would certainly never agree to do it.] I kind of hope they go away soon, though.

Well...I bet they'll go away after Christmas! I mean, why would an elf hang around much longer than that, right?

...Oh! That's right! Like, gimme a second, okay?

[And with that she scrambles back into her apartment.]

Just wait there a second!

[He nods, a bit surprised by the suddenness of this, but watches as she goes.]

O-okay.

[ribbonbon]

[After a few moments, she trots back out, two new packages in hand along with the other. One is obviously a cake box, but the other is wrapped in light blue paper with a red ribbon. Doing her best to balance the other packages she's holding, she holds the two new ones out to Shinji with a sheepish little grin.]

Like, sorry about that! I was going to give these to you later since I didn't think I'd see you before I headed out. But since you're here...!

[Shinji tentatively reaches out. Considering that he'd gotten gifts for others, he shouldn't be so surprised, but... well, he is anyway!]

Are these for me?

Well, like, duh! Of course they are! I wouldn't be giving them to you otherwise!

[Her grin broadens. Truthfully, she's really just kind of happy to have people to give things to this year.]

I tried to pick out something nice!

Th-thanks. [He doesn't even have to know what it is to feel incredibly flattered. He's not very used to receiving gifts at all.] Should I open it now?

[ribbonbon]

Well, you can open it now like, if you want to! I mean, it's your gift after all!

[She grins. One one hand, she kind of wants to see him open it to see what he thinks. On the other hand, Christmas isn't until tomorrow...]

Alright. [He smiles, but before he starts to open it, he actually puts the boxes down and reaches into the bag he'd been carrying over his shoulder instead.] Actually, I've got something for you, too...

[It takes a minute of digging, but as soon as he finds them, he holds out a colorful tin and a package wrapped in green paper right on top of it.]

Oh?

[She carefully puts down her own packages to take the gifts from him. She smiles, bouncing just a little bit. Back home, she's used to getting more or less the same thing every year; sweaters, study guides, cookbooks... So this is kind of exciting! Not to mention...she's really just glad to have friends to do things like this with this year.]

Gee, thanks, Shinji~! Oooh, I wonder what it is~!

I hope you like it. [He smiles before picking up the box she gave him so he can finally open it. His smile grows even wider when he actually sees the gift.] Wow, it's really nice, Pilouette.
