Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

[Through the winter wonderland, no doubt ignoring lights and elves and all that tomfoolery at that. But sword in hand, Rin'll just... follow. Peppy weirdo]

In any case through the snow and hills they make it to the battledome and Cross has already gone into the control room to set up the scenery.]

[Wow, convenient, one of the six rooms was open? That's cool. Rin, for his part, is just stretching. He's still not totally used to this place,as often as Shiemi uses it and as sometimes as he uses it. he rolls his shoulders and then goes to toe-touch, and etc]

Once Cross has put the setting up, a general city takes form as the scenery. Walking out of the control room he looks to Rin.]

So we should be good for a little while. I think it's about an hour before we lose our time on this.

You think we're seriously going to go and hour?

Course not. Fifteen minutes tops! Maybe less if I knock you out.

[What this? Confidence? He's already simulated some weapons for himself. Utility belt, sword, and his hero armor (minus the helmet.)]

Alright, do you need anything before we start?

What! You are not going to knock me out! [He tights his grip on his sword and shakes his head. Damn you and your cool armor] I don't even need all those gizmos to do it, just this sword!

[Cross is just having to much fun with it. But hey maybe he'll make some for Rin once they're better friends.]

All right, then lets start!

[And he's got his sword all drawn out and pointing it at Rin.]

Yeah, I do!

[and then Rin draws Kurikara. When he does, everything changes at once. His nails harden and elongate to get to be more like claws. His ears and fangs both elongate too, but more important than either is that he lights on (blue) fire. A torrent of blue flames cover his entire body as an "aura" of sorts, but particularly concentrates for two flame "horns" on his head and then his tail becomes basically a fluffy blue charmander tail.

His aura - the intensity of the moment - also has shifted. While he only looks somewhat more serious, his flames and demonic power now radiate off him. Ridiculous power and all that.

And he brings his own sword to be bare]

Come on!

quick question; would you consider Rin's demon flames magic?

[Oh...okay maybe he went a little over his head with this. Rin looks freaksishly intimidating right now. But not going to back down now. So Cross is going to run at Rin and well, aim for a hard well aimed kick at the teenager's chest.]

[RE: Flames -- Not really. Possibly, but it depends on how you define magic. The flames are literally an extension of his heart/soul spread out from his body externally. If your define it as being demonic as being magic, then yes, but it's not something casted or anything]

[But back in the sparring. A kick? He tilts a bit so it doesn't impact as hard as it could, and then moves to cross counter, letting his sword be in one hand while the other goes to punch Cross. He's holding back now, so... it's just a little weaker than last time. After all, his demon strength is more-ish]

Your rin's very good by the way.

[Cross is not one to plan ahead. Just go on the fly. The punch does connect however and he finds himself sliding back a bit. Okay. Keep at arms reach and just let the sword do the talking, so he's going to try and slash at Rin. But since it's a simulated weapon it probably won't do much other than knock the guy around.]

[Which Rin tries to meet. Swordfighting! But, fortunately or unfortunately, while he's very strong, he's not actually a great swordsman. Still, looking determined, he's trying to meet the guy sword for sword strike, deflecting. It's not a smart move, really, because he could probably overpower Cross easier if he wasn't bothering with this, but he knows he needs to improve here]

No probs.

[Well, it's a mixed bag here as well. Cross is okay with a sword. But still not great. So it's looking to be an even match. And indeed the sword strike is deflected, but he aims for another lunge at Rin.]

Again with the lunging?! [And he leaps now. Leaps to get behind Cross -- however, by "leap" I mean "a standing jump over twelve feet in the air where his flames spread out behind him like a comet trail" - with intention to get behind the guy]

Just so you might do that!

[And as Rin leaps into the air behind him, Cross pulls out several throwing knives and hurls them at Rin in an attempt to pin him to the ceiling.]

Whaaaaaa--- not a chance! [He roars this and his flames intensify as he shifts the leap to try to be a downward punch. Unless the knives are made of something less burnable than steel, they're going to end up consumed into ashes (or melted stuff or whatever) by these flames.

If they are less burnable, the welp, he'll get stuck to the ceiling]

mm, let me know when you want this interaction to end I don't want to bore you x-x

[Well, considering they're just a projection of this room since Cross didn't want to use real knives on someone they're going to get burnt up.]

Well...that just happened.

[And he's just going to throw a smoke bomb down and just hide within the smokescreen.]</small.

[It's a downward punch, there's not really a lot of aiming do it. There is some breaking up the ground when he impacts as hard as he was punching, but then he's in smoke, and coughing a little as he looks around, trying to see where Cross went]
