Summary: It's a wintertime jamboree. Go ice skating. Hand out gifts to those you love. (Or want to prank, as the case may be.) Deal with meddling, creepy elves. Kiss a lot of people. It'll be good. Except for the parts where it'll be awkward. But that's what we're here for, isn't it?
Rating: Anywhere from PG to R, I imagine. If you need to play out sexytimes, please either fade to black and take it elsewhere or CLEARLY mark the thread in the subject line. (The former is preferable, but not strictly necessary.)

Well, being able to feel some pain isn't a bad thing. If life suddenly lacked all risks and dangers it'd definitely be boring.

True. And it'd be hard to be stronger if you couldn't learn from anything like that. I don't like it, but it's important.

I'm glad you agree. It's because we can still feel and experience those things that we don't just get stuck frozen in time. Our bodies won't grow, but if we don't change... well, it'll be ironic isn't it, for immortals to be no better than dead?

[He stares at Maiza a moment, digesting all that.]

...Ironic, yeah, and pretty terrible.

[Another reason why he tries not to think about this too much.]

That's exactly how I feel about it, yeah. The world's always changing, and we also change because we're affected by everyone around us.

Well, to put it in other words, it'd be boring if you and everything else stayed the same all the time, don't you think?

...Yeah, maybe. I just don't wanna change for the worse, you know?

[He swore to himself that he wouldn't let Szilard's memories change him, but sometimes he wonders if he's that strong mentally.

And then he thinks about how his Family and his new friends have changed him. They've made him softer, and he's not sure if that's a bad or a good thing overall.]
