[Ororo spares a moment to chuckle quietly, but was bending slightly to offer the stranger a hand in getting up. She wasn't expecting to run into anyone in the clothing shop - didn't even plan to stay long at all! - but for some reason she's utterly charmed by this man sprawled on the floor.]

Are you all right? That was quite a spill you took, there.

[He tries to wave away her hand and pull himself up. The clunky armor just makes this more difficult than expected. He wasn't sure why he felt like showing off his strength to this woman, or why he was suddenly grinning so brightly.]

Oh, I'm fine. Trust me, I've taken much worse falls.

Is that so? You'll have to tell me more...?

[Ororo just smiles, trailing off meaningfully for his name - until he finishes pulling himself up to stand. Goddess. That's...

She looks up at his impressive height with wide, surprised eyes.]

Ralph. And that - that's just a boring story. [It's not hard to guess at her surprise - and it looks like a positive one, which is enough to make his grin a little goofier. And gets him to flex an arm in place, but trying to do so as casually and organically as he can manage.] Let me guess - they don't make 'em this big where you come from.

Not... nearly, no. [She shakes her head, smiling.] It's not often I find myself staring up at a man, really. This is a... refreshing change.

Well you better get used to it, cuz I ain't shrinking anytime soon! [He says with only a slight gruffness.] And hey - what's your name?

[She seems very familiar. He just can't place her. But does it matter? That smile's enough to keep him fixated.]

Ororo. Though some call me Storm. And I must say, it's a pleasure to meet you, Ralph. [And she does mean that! She likes not having to look down on people, and with Ralph she finds herself looking up, up and up.]

[Two names? That's just confusing. But still, he's sure he's seen her somewhere in one of the machines.]

I think I'll go with Ororo. ...Sounds nice. Uh... good to meet you, too! [He nervously holds out a giant hand, still covered in armor.]

[She takes his hand in hers as best as she can (his hands are so big...!) and gives it a gentle shake. But she gives the armor a second look.]

Pardon my asking, but are you from some kind of security unit, Ralph? This armor of yours... It's quite interesting. [She's not sure why, either. Suddenly the thought of a man in uniform is quite appealing...]

[He feels oddly deprived, not being able to actually feel the touch of another person while inside the armor. And he's not sure why...]

Oh, this old thing? This is just from more of a... side job. A very brief one, but one that involved lots of space bugs. It just turned up here, so I thought I'd try it on.

A side job with space bugs? [She laughs a little, one hand rising to her mouth.] That sounds like quite the adventure.

[He tries to wave his hand dismissively, but feeling an odd sense of victory at having inspired laughter.]

Oh, it was no big deal. Practically over before it started! Of course, I could even handle 'em with my own two hands... [And he cracks his two large hands together; it was technically true.]

I have no trouble believing that. You seem like you can handle yourself quite well in a fight. [She gives his impressive height and large fists another look.]

[Ralph holds his hand up before his face as if examining his non-visible fingernails with a newfound confidence.]

Thanks. You could say these ham hands have wrecked their fair share of goons. What about you, Ororo? Sounds like you're either a fighter yourself or a spectator.

I've seen my fair share of fights myself. Though to be perfectly honest, I would be quite happy if I never saw another fight. It isn't something I particularly enjoy.

Oh, me neither! I mean, sure, it's good to vent every now and then, but I can just use brick walls for that instead of people. I'd rather leave the violence for the Street Fighters of the world.

Brick walls? [She looks at him with some surprise.]
