[Thor can't help but think that grin is one of the most precious and endearing grins he's ever seen. He returns it with his own.] I'm not sure if I agree. It would be most difficult to miss such a beautiful head of such vibrant, red hair.

[He looks down as his arm is pet and nods, considering what she's said.]

If there ever comes a time when I am able to avenge you, I will take it without a second thought.

[Her lips quirk as she waves a finger at him, although she's charmed by his comments, her grin widening a hint.] Ah, but the trick to that is you first have to catch sight of that. I can blend in as well as I can stand out at times, if I want. Although there's usually not a whole lot of need for that here, I'm finding. Unless I'm sneaking up on Clint or Coulson somewhere. [Which she's known to do, on occasion. She has better luck with Clint. Coulson is always a challenge.]

Thank you for that, though. Hopefully there won't be many more things you need to avenge anyone for, although I appreciate the thought. Most days, things are pretty quiet around here.

I don't know about others, but I have a keen eye. Perhaps not so much as Barton, but when I know what I want I am able to find it through any manner of surroundings.

[Sort of.] But the chase is part of the fun, is it not?

One can only hope. The power they hold over us is so terribly infuriating, it is enough to drive anyone mad.

[She grins, taking another sip of her drink as she listens, tilting her head as she concedes his point.] So I've been told. So what is it you want, Thor? Or will you figure that out at the end of your chase?

[She's not surprised he finds it so frustrating, even though her own thoughts on the matter are mixed at best.] It is, yes. But things could still be worse. And perhaps our capivity won't last so much longer, if your doctor and Tony are successful.

A challenge. [His tone is firm. He might be confused as hell about his abrupt attraction to his ally, but he knows damn well what he likes.] As they say, the chase is all of the fun, is it not? There is little more enjoyable than the thrill of the hunt.

[He hums as she mentions 'his' doctor, taking a long sip of his drink before lowering it and wiping his mouth with the back of his hand.]

Indeed. Though the concerns I feel toward that project are not ones I wish to dwell on in such fine company.

Spoken like someone who's used to being the hunter. [There's humor in her tone as she replies, her green eyes warm despite the possible meanings behind her words. She's watching him curiously now, because there's more interest in his manner than she'd anticipated, or had found there before.]

You're concerned too, hmm?

[That earns her a soft laugh and lingering stare as he takes another swig of his drink. A fine evening indeed.] Obviously you aren't familiar with many Asgardian women. They can be likened to mountain lions on the prowl.

[A nod.] Very much so. Though it does no good to worry over such things.
