Coulson is easy to like. I'm glad you guys get on.

[She reaches out for him with a free hand, and a hard knife of air just starts chopping on autopilot.]

[He smiles after a moment, just watching her.]

Mmmm, I can start by getting you a proper drink.

Well, back home I've got no family to meet. Just Yuuna. So it's the same.

[She shakes her head with a little laugh]

Of course not. Wear what you want. It's just dinner.

And a proper drink? That sounds lovely. Please.

[She leans against the counter, expectantly]

That's good, I don't actually own a tie. I'd have to borrow one of Coulson's.

[He stands up, going to fetch the bottle of wine that he'd acquired earlier, pouring a glass which he hands over.]

I hope this is okay. I know nothing about wine.

I don't know much about wine either. You might think of me as some refined lady...but I'm a country bumpkin.

[She tastes it and smiles]

But it's not bad. Very sweet, which is good. And not too strong.

[She muses to herself as the water finally comes to a boil, and she quickly drops in the noodles and starts cooking the sauce]

And it was a good guess, I think. I'm satisfied so long as it doesn't taste bad.

Well, there's not a whole lot there to see. Well, I assume. Haven't been back there since I left.

[Even missions hadn't taken him up that way. Who would've guessed.]

That's always the most important thing, no matter what wine snobs say about vintage and stuff.

It was dusty. I sneezed a lot. I didn't care for it.

[She shrugs. It had been incredibly boring. Up there with Idaho and Mongolia for her. A whole new class of blah on her travels.]

Well wine snobs are boring. Talking about wine all day like it's something important.

[It's not long after that that Saori's serving up two plates of pasta, it doesn't take all that long to cook. Steaming tomato-sauce spaghetti isn't anything special, not really. But to someone from Japan it's a treat...]

I will never understand the people who refuse to open a wine because it's so old. It kind of defeats the point of having wine.
