This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

She accepted his kiss with a wry quirk of her lips and part of her realized that this had already gone beyond all planned barriers. Rogue had to pull away so he could read her lips, "No, we'll just be surrounded by people who want to kill us, or people we decided not ta make privy to our private lives. I'll try an' come by to see you when I can, but I mean it - we have to stay focused."

[Chouji's breath catches for a second, but he forces himself to keep smiling.]

You're right. I did mention staffs, but I took what was offered. It was last minute, after all.

Once I return the sword I'll see about finding something that suits me better.

[Katara, on he way to the infirmary, stopped when Raine approached and gave the older woman a smile.]

Oh - thank you, Raine. [Katara took hold of the healing pack.] These are always so useful. Hopefully we won't have to use them, but thank you for making them.

[When she wakes this time she gives the hall another quick glance over and turns to Sheena. She feels fine, there's no pain, discomfort or anything like that. But to be dozing off again so soon after being woken up has her worried now.]

Fuuko doesn't know... This is far from normal for Fuuko.

He grinned. "I find myself quite focused." This time he reached down to take her hand, bring it up to his lips for a kiss. "But I shall hope that we shall find time for each other."

[He breathes out slowly through the nose. More than words could describe at this moment, he's grateful Chouji didn't take the bait from that.]

Good plan. [He lightly slaps his friend on the back of the shoulder.] That should do fine, until then. These things typically last under a week if I remember it right...

Rogue smiled and rolled her eyes lightly, shaking her head. "If we don't get ta try out your invisibility shield," and she planned on steering clear of that, "I'll make it up to you when we get back. How do the hot springs sound to you?"

Rogue couldn't help but remember the last time they had found each other there and she smirked a little, "I'll let ya share my pool."

Of course, Mia. [He gives a pat before removing his hand, sitting along the side of his own bed while facing her.] I'll be right here until you're ready.

[It doesn't even matter that she must look so pitiful this way, curled into a ball on a borrowed bunk, giving in to such things as head-pats. She really does not care.

After a while, she risks opening one eye, and then both.]

I think if we don't go now I might never actually go.

[The Rogue has a point, and Mia levers herself out of the bunk as quickly as she thinks she can. Things are still a little...off. Maybe some food will actually solve it.]

Maybe, but... [He dares to look him in the eye, but not in a defiant way. It's more in a way of familiarity, though there's a hint of sadness and hurt in it--Jeb couldn't hide that if he tried.] In all due respect, how would you know something like that when you act like we've never met?
