This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

[A short nod. She reaches for his arm, shaky on her feet without even standing.]

Please don't warp there. Wherever we are going.

[Though. If she managed to pass out instead of throw up it might help.]

[He got a good grip on her arm and helped to carefully pull her up. He knew already that teleportation wasn't an option - she reacted poorly enough to it at the ball, when she had a clear head.]

Don't sweat it - you're safe from the disappearing act. We'll just have to take the slow road, Mia.

[Once she was up - and maybe it was some kind of side-effect of feeling the way she did - she let go of him long enough for a quick hug instead.]

Hey, don't sweat it. I can't leave a teammate hanging. Especially with what we're here for.

Hopefully they can do something for me.

[The nausea comes with an untraceable left-side limp, too. She's hanging onto him pretty tight during the walk.]

[He holds her up well enough; he's used to doing this kind of support during Danger Room scenarios.]

They better. Either that, or hopefully you'll have enough strength to freeze their boots to the ground.

Why do I want to freeze their boots?

Because... being stuck there will help them think about what they've done? [He might have just been going for cool injury.]

Only if they can't do anything for me first. And I apologize if I miss and freeze your tail to the floor instead. [Her grip tightens to match a wobbling step.] It's hard to concentrate.

[He slows down a bit to get a firmer hold and better accommodate her.]

Right, only if they don't treat you. But hey, in that case, maybe it's not such a cool idea. Maybe I'll take care of teleporting them into a toilet instead.

That's a little...gross.

Okay, okay, something happens to them that's funny and not gross!

[Okay. Teleported into dresses is pretty funny, and earns him a weak but sincere laugh.]

There we go! Hang onto that feeling. Laughter's the best medicine after all. Maybe something with a floral pattern? Or pink polka dots?

Kurt! [Why is he so almost-unerringly good at that?] I'm starting to think you have done this to people before.

Just try not to ask Scott or Evan about it if they ever show up here. Wouldn't want to dredge up some painful memories for them.

Oh, Scott was here for a little while. It was before I knew anyone very well, though.

[Thinking of these other things is taking her mind off of the nausea.]

I really miss out on everyone, don't I? Except of course for dear old Gambit.

They might come back again. ...Even if you do not want them to.

[They have reached the clinic equivalent! Which is good because Mia's holding on pretty tight.]

I hope they have some kind of answer here.

[He just acknowledges that with a nod, and then he looks towards the door.]

I hope so, too. Should I come in with you? [He says as he reaches to get the door with his tail.]

[Oh, that's very sweet of him.]

I think I'll be all right, Kurt, but thank you.

I'll wait outside, then. Just holler if you need anything, alright?

[And he holds the door open for her with his tail.]
