This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

It's better to at least try to eat. Who knows what the rations will be like when we get out there.

Decidedly irrational, I should think.

[The Rogue has a point, and Mia levers herself out of the bunk as quickly as she thinks she can. Things are still a little...off. Maybe some food will actually solve it.]

[Rogue shakes her head, hiding her smile.] You've been spendin' too much time with Kurt.

Then it has paid off well. [His - their particular brand of humor is hard to grasp sometimes.] I wish I could ask you to promise me no broken bones this time.

[Rogue's face softened slightly.]

I try not ta make promises I can't keep. But at least ya know I won't go out of my way to cause you extra work.

Good. The others will be doing enough of that. [Somehow, even though it's a draft and she's partially terrified, she can manage to smile when they talk like this.] I will try not to give anyone work to do, either.

Then it sounds like a deal.

Good! ...I feel so different about fighting after all of the things I've done with you and Kurt and the others. Not that I want to do it or think it's right, but it is as if I know that- that I am capable of unfamiliar things.

Good. [She smiles a little.] Because you are.

Is it still all right to hope I won't have to use those things?
