This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

[After a week in the jungle, the showers were a god(dess)-send. Her rain clouds could only do so much, after all. There were, of course, other important things to attend to - she and Logan had seen Kurt, Mia and Rogue's names included in the list. But, she reasoned, she would not be very useful if she did not take care of herself, first. As soon as she was refreshed from a decent shower, she would need to go looking for them.

When she gets there, Ororo does spare a moment to raise an eyebrow at the lack of privacy, but ultimately the urge to get all clean overrides other thought. She strips down to her underwear and steps into the room. She had no nudity taboo and had considered stripping down to nothing, but. She wasn't about to give everyone a free show.]

[And there's Kurt, nervously humming to himself under one particular shower, his tail sticking out from his oversized blue boxers.

He nervously turns as he hears someone approach. And once he sees her, he pretty much... freezes in place, his mouth starting to gape.]

S-Storm!

Ah, Kurt. [She gives him a friendly smile - one that turns a little sheepish because, well.] Hello. This wasn't quite how I wanted to run into you.

Trust me - it's not on my list of ways I'd prefer to meet you either! [He gulps and forces his gaze to stay on her face. Really, it would be beneficial to just bamf out, but that wasn't the way to leave Storm after she was gone on the mission for so long. ...And he knows that his luck will bamf him into a situation of potentially equal or greater awkwardness. Example, he had no idea where Rogue was right now.]

But, uh, either way... it's good to see you're well!

[Very, very well - he quickly catches his eyes from starting to look down.]

It is good to see you, too. [A brief pause while she looks around the area. She just wanted a shower, really... Well, at least she can get right down to business.] Logan and I saw the list of names. You came with Rogue, and Mia? Are they around here, as well?

[To defeat the Huns.]

Yeah, they are. [He said with some slight dejection. Then followed up nervously.] Well, I mean, not here here! [He looked around nervously, hoping that this wasn't summoning either of their presence. Then he looked back to Storm in relief... and snapped his gaze back up to her face.]

I mean... another here. In here. But not... here!

[calmbeforethe]

Ah. Yes, of course. I'm sure they're both busy elsewhere. [His snappy movements don't escape her, so she gives him a bit of a sympathetic smile.] I meant to go looking for you as soon as I finished here, actually. It has been a long week.

[For the moment, he manages to let concern override that feeling of pure awkwardness.]

Is everything alright?

[She learned some distressing things this week. But she chooses not to say anything; Kurt didn't have to know what would befall her, after all. Not yet.]

Everything's fine, Kurt. Or, well, as fine as can be given the circumstances. [She gives him what she hopes is a reassuring smile.] I was just concerned, with most of us X-Men on this draft... And- this is your first one, is it not?

Well... yeah, it is. ...That I can remember, at least.

[It's horrifying to imagine that he could have been through this before in the past without remembering. That he could have done a lot of things already that he doesn't remember.]

[Forgetting where they are and how they're dressed is easy when she sees the look on his face. Ororo puts a careful hand on his shoulder.]

Do not worry, Kurt. It... is unfortunate that we have to do this at all, but at least we're in it together. It will be difficult, but you'll be fine; we all will.

I guess you're right. [He said with a soft smile.] We're X-Men, after all.
