This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

[Alexei was taking his leave from the mess hall when he comes across Zelgius. Something about the way he was going about himself gave him the impression he was feeling out of place.]

You seem restless.

[Zelgius gave a small start when Alexei spoke. He was kind of in his own head, and that shook him out. He recovered quickly enough, though.]

Hmm. Perhaps I am, a bit. I am also trying to get a better feel for the space, however.

Is this your first draft? I don't think I've seen you around before, in Luceti.

This would be my first draft in Luceti, yes. I have only been here a few months. My first experiment was the one where the village suddenly became different locations, if that gives you a timeframe.

...Yes, I remember that experiment. [He remembers clearing out crocodiles and ending up being in a pit with them with Nami at least]

Judging by your appearance, I have the impression you're not unfamiliar with being on the battlefield though.

I spent most of that experiment near my apartment, so I didn't quite get to see what happened with the other areas. I believe my area was called the Shogunate...? [His memory might have flaked a little bit on this.]

That's right. At home, I was a general of one of the continent's largest armies. I have been a soldier for quite some time.

I don't think I've traveled to the other areas much myself. I had to ensure the mikan orchards would survive since it was in the desert region of the experiment.

[He couldn't remember what they called it, nor did he really care]

A general. That's quite impressive. [A beat] Ah, I probably should have introduced myself earlier. My name is Alexei.

That certainly is important. How unfortunate that an orchard had to end up in the desert.

I should have introduced myself as well. My name is Zelgius. What did you do in your world?

I had a similar position to your own back home. Commandant of the Imperial Knights.
