This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

Oh, just fine.

[He takes a few steps forward now that he's certain Derek is okay with conversation, then looks down at the sword he's oiling.]

Does your home have floating cities like this as well?

[Derek shakes his head]

No. Been up in the mountains a few times, but we don't have anything like this. I'm guessing you don't either?

Only in legends and fairy tales; and even then it was only for castles - not entire cities in the sky.

[He tilts his head and turns his gaze from the sword to Derek.]

Have you taken a look around?

A little bit. Planned on getting a better look later, when everyone's gotten settled.

I did a little. [Not enough. He had to rest before he could get a good look at it.]

I will. I can come get you if you want to come along.

[As much as he wants to, he knows that going out will only make his condition worse. He thinks for a moment, then looks down at Derek's sword as he considers it.]

I may need to work on my own weapons until late. They haven't seen real combat in a long time.

[He looks away and points to a bunk quite a few rows away.]
