This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

[He knew most of the team was here, so as he made his rounds to spot them all, he located Mia next. Well, damn, she looked to be in a spot. He leaned up against the wall next to her, put out his cigar against the wall (tucking it behind his ear for later), and set a hand on her should.]

You look like hell, Blue. Didn't I tell ya it was against X-Men rules to show up to battles drunk?

[frost_jewel]

[The smell of cigar doesn't help her nausea, which is thankfully starting to fade by the time Logan gets to her.]

I am not drunk. [Perish the thought. She's also grateful for the stability of another person.] I don't...know what this is.

[snikting]

Might be the air gettin' to ya. Gave me a little trouble at first too.

[Of course, that was only for a moment of disorientation. His healing quickly accounted for the change.]

[frost_jewel]

[Yes. She thought of airsickness once, when thinking was easier.]

Maybe. Lying down did not help. [He might appreciate the short clipped sentences. Best not to lose her nonexistent lunch.]

[snikting]

Maybe ya ought to go see the doctors around here. Ain't no shame in a healer going to another one.

[frost_jewel]

[Hm. Mia prefers to trust the doctors she knows, or herself, but her powers didn't do anything to help either. Seeking out one of the others...could take a while. She might not find them at all.]

Do you know how to get there?

[snikting]

Already been there, myself. Had one of those Shift afflictions. First time I've had a stopped up nose since I was a kid. [It occurred to him that maybe this is what it was.] Might be your problem, too.

[frost_jewel]

[She sniffs a few times.] No, I can breathe just fine. [And for the moment she feels better enough to stand up straight and retreat from the edge of collapse.]

[snikting]

Alright, come on, we're getting you fixed up.

[He grips her upper arm to guide her forward and to hold her up in case she decides to fall over some more.]

I've seen a few people with- with shift sickness before. It wasn't like this.

[snikting]

First time for everything.

[frost_jewel]

[Logan. You should work on the way you handle sick people. Until the floor starts feeling like the best place to be again, Mia shuts her mouth and walks.]

[snikting]

[It's a good thing he's not a big fan of conversation, then. He's all too willing to guide her there in silence.]

[frost_jewel]

How long will this take to go away?

[snikting]

Seeing as you're normal? Hell if I know.

[frost_jewel]

[Normal. Something she has never been called before in her life. It almost makes her laugh, except she thinks laughing will lead to being sick.]

Thank you for helping me anyway.

[snikting]

That's what we do on a team.

[If it was meant to be a special moment, it wasn't. He kept shuffling her forward, towards the physician's office which wasn't far now. her being part of the team was just a fact now.]

[frost_jewel]

I know. [She used to have one.

No special moments necessary. Mia is just grateful, and will be even moreso when this silliness stops and she can get ready properly.]

[snikting]

[Quietly they continued until they were finally there and Logan could ease her down somewhere to wait for a doctor to come see her.]

Sit tight and try not to hurl. The Mallies ain't too keen on their boots getting messed up.

[frost_jewel]

Thank you, Logan. [Is there a tactful way to relieve him of any obligation to staying? Maybe that'll be enough.]

[snikting]

[Sure. Xavier could show up and relieve him of command.

But since Xavier isn't here, Logan waits.]

[frost_jewel]

[When he is still standing there after a few minutes, she gives him a weak smile.]

I'll be okay here. [Not because she wants him to go, but because he doesn't seem comfortable. But then, she never quite thinks he seems comfortable.]

[snikting]

I'm well aware. I aim to ensure that.

[So, no, he's not moving.]
