This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

She smiled weakly. "You're right," she said. "He'll be happy there. It's much better for him to be home."

"That's the spirit! Before long, you might be off where you belong as well!"

[gleamed]

"Oh, yes." More than usual, thoughts of home were quite enticing. But even then, she wasn't ready to go. She didn't want to leave her friends. "W-we'll just have to wait and see, won't we?"

"Yes. Exactly. Well, not me, I'll be doing all the hard work to make it happen. But you, you can certainly wait and see!"

[gleamed]

Oh. Um. "Right. Um - I should probably go get ready for tomorrow."

Reluctantly, he let her hair go. "Of course. You have things to do. But ah, please be careful. I'd hate to see anything happen to your hair. Or, ah, you."

She offered him a weak, if slightly patronizing smile. "Thank you. I will."
