This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

That was our thought. I did have poor control back then, and Haki is known to charge objects. Even though when I try to do it myself it requires a bit of focus.

I had another... well not incident, but occurrence in December. I managed to ignite the tag, and teleport it away. My control was a lot better then. Not as good as it is now, but better. I wasn't actively trying to use my abilities.

Haven't touched a tag since.

You should probably do the opposite.

In other words use the tags as a gauge of my control if the Haki is indeed the cause.

[He's tucking the scroll away and glances at Shikamaru.

Well. All he can do is try to keep an eye on him when he's near out there and a ear out for him when he's not.]

[Shikamaru hasn't taken a sip of his tea, but his feet are already itching to make a move. After a few moments he straightens back, glancing around the room.]

I should refuel. I have other things I need to get to before the day's out.

You might want to start on that by drinking your tea. [Pointing that out.] The rest of the stuff they're serving is not so pleasant to get down.

[He can also tell when a person is itching to end the conversation, so he'll offer an out on his end. And that Shikamaru gets more settled.] And I have to get back to work. I have a few quartermasters I need to chase down. Find me if you need anything.

[He'll leave the extra vivre cards with Shikamaru so he doesn't need to track him down for those.]

[He takes the cup of tea tentatively, like feeling out something alien. He watches Law work and nods when he sets down the extra cards. He picks one up.]
