This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

Well it seems you have at least an inkling of what a military uniform looks like. I am indeed a colonel in the Malkuth Imperial Forces. But such a title carries little weight here, I'm afraid.

Colonel, eh? I've just had to work with a few military-types out in the field. No biggie. [Except when they were on the opposite sides of a battle.]

Cliff Fittir. No title. [A nod. He offered a hand, out of politeness. Titles still had some significance, after all.]

They're such nuisances, aren't they? [And he extended his own hand out of courtesy. It was a slightly disarming side effect of being in a world without meaningful ranks that he was left uncertain about how to regard others; as fellow soldiers, as civilians, as nuisances? All he knew for sure was "something less than equal".]

[Rank was only a matter of importance to the individual and the culture they were part of. Cliff didn't care one way or the other, but being respectful of rank in the right context did wonders for building a network both on the personal and galactic scale.

He shook firmly and grinned right back.]

You got a name there, Colonel? I'm not in the habit of using titles.

[He pulled back and scratched his head. He saw what happened there.]

Of course they are. In a tight situation, they tend to be the most effective killers one could ask for. [He says with an eerie grin just before he pulls his own hand back, resting both within his pockets.]

I was actually named "Colonel" at birth. That's how I knew I was destined for a life of effective military service. [He says with a slight but vague air of sarcasm as his glasses gleam.] However, if you must have some name to call me by, you can use my codename: Jade Curtiss.

[There was a note of humor in his tone, and scratched his chin as he thought this over.]

...you know? I always wanted a codename, but the Mighty Hammer of Lazeria just seemed a bit much. 'Sides, Cliff is cool. Why change?

Because it's an exceptionally dull name. But I'm afraid that "Mighty Hammer" does not sound much better, beyond implying your physical prowess.
