This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

That's no worry. But they can nullify our jutsu and other abilities. Will that cause problems?

Only for this communication system. If my abilities have been nullified, I can still fight, but this will not work as effectively.

[Every one of those papers is infused with a small amount of her chakra, for monitoring and non-verbal communication.]

They can still be used as a quick signal to avoid shouting, though.

No doubt. [Shikamaru nods.] Be careful with the white ones, in any case. We don't have time for codes in this battle.

Of course.

[She's hoping she won't have to contend with power nullification for long, though. One of her plans involves letting a paper clone getting captured and then exploding once it's surrounded by enemies.]

Have you fought this group before?

Kinda.

Kind of as in a similar enemy, or the same enemy under different circumstances?

I organized a small task force to track down and dispose of them before. I currently don't remember it well.

Ah.

[Well, that made things more difficult. Still, Shikamaru is clever and subtle. Konan has no doubt he'll be capable of handling himself in this fight - as long as the shift effects don't cause him too many problems.]

If you don't mind me asking, how much has your memory been affected?

I don't know. [He's only been back for a couple of hours. He stills finds this more disorienting than not, trying to remember so much at once.] Probably not a lot. It does feel like it's coming back bit by bit.
