This post covers the first day, before the attack. Remember, characters here are not expecting an attack and are under the impression they will be going to Region 1 to fight. During this day, draftees will be restricted to T6 and T7 and not permitted access to other areas.

[He senses Kratos's mana before he sees him. His eyes flash dangerously, scanning his surroundings until they land on the familiar retreating back.]

I would expect no less from you. [He says it quietly, but Kratos should have no trouble hearing the words.]

[Kratos stops in his tracks, because he does indeed hear him. It's too late to retreat now that Mithos has sensed him. He was a fool to believe that perhaps he would pass by Mithos' radar. He looks behind his back--seems as if he has a little bit of nerve.]

Is there something else you'd wish for me to do? [In defiance, because even if the events have not completely transpired for him, there's still very little left of their relationship of leader and right-hand man.]

[No, he supposes there is nothing left to say, nothing left to do, because what has been said cannot be unsaid and what has been done cannot be undone. Perhaps he just wants to draw guilt from Kratos like water from the ground.] Aside from perishing at my hand?

I have no intention of doing that. [He turns more to face Mithos a little more. Facing his own sin...] Not here, nor on the battlefield. Nor back home.

[His eyebrows twitch downward.] I suppose the world has never been so kind to me, nor so convenient.

That is the very nature of life itself. [But it should be no surprise that Kratos says such a thing. Living a long existence as a fatalist...] Regardless, I advise against us battling here.

I had no intentions of doing so. [It would be wise to wait for the chaos of battle, for their paths to cross again by chance, and let it blend in with the violence around them.]

Good. [Kratos is certainly aware that Mithos might try something like that. He'll have to be extra careful during the days to come.] Then there should be no issue today.

[There's still the urge to kneel before the man, to crawl back and allow himself the easy way out. But he cannot waver--not now.]
