Day 2 and 3
[When the alarms sound, Freyjadour's up and awake in moments, putting together the pieces of what is happening as he does. An attack....?

They weren't going to be given a chance to deploy.

He dresses quickly, grabbing his Tri-Nunchaku and throwing himself into the fight. Mostly he'll be fighting in melee range, the press of soldiers making it difficult to do otherwise, but if he comes across anyone injured he'll have a healing spell to send their way courtesy of his wind rune. As the battle wears on and things get worse, he'll be making more of a point to help allies in trouble.]

Day 4 and 5
[Frey takes a bit more caution when it comes to the droids and shifters. He's aware of what both can do, and what they can do together could be formidable. He works on staying out of range if he needs to use magic, but he's conserving it here for when it matters now and sticking to physical attacks, especially with shift hunters around.

When the truth about the attacks come out and some people take it too far, Frey starts taking matters into his own hands-- he'll detain some of their large winged allies before people like the Kin’corans do, trying to make sure they didn't get killed before proven innocent. Chaos and indiscriminate killing was not how they were going to win this fight.]

Day 6
[When orders come to retake all their lost ground, Frey's certain of his destination: The people in the detention centers, held captive by the opposition, needed to be freed. So he finds his way to the closest detention center to try to help.]

Day 6

[It's a rush of adrenaline that keeps Albert on his feet on the sixth day after a night and a morning spent in a detention center. Disheveled and carrying a good sword taken from a fallen cultist, Albert calls out orders to the small band of draftees who had banded with him from the detention center. Between his earlier intel and the overheard talk while captive, they have a planned target in mind.]

Day 6

[Frey, too, had teamed up with a small group of his own, and they had plans in mind for a detention center they were headed to. By now, Freyjadour has a few lingering minor wounds after little rest and attempts to conserve rune magic for only serious injuries, but he seems alert and intact enough for the task he's about to undertake.

What Freyjadour hadn't expected was to meet up with a familiar face on the way there.]

Albert!

[Albert halts his team when he hears the shout over the far-off din of battle, blinking at the young man hurrying along with his own band of draftees.]

Prince Freyjadour. [He nods in greeting, frowning as he processes that there should not be any other targets in the nearby vicinity.] Have you been assigned to liberating the captured civilians?

I have. You as well, I take it? [It was the only explanation for why Albert would be all the way out here that he could think of. He glances over the group with Albert, noting their faces.] Perhaps we could work together?

[chikaidestroyer]

Somewhat more complicated than that. Official assistance would be welcome. [He gestures to the others with him to take stock of their weaponry, though he doesn't call for them to integrate into Frey's group; at this point, it would just create confusion.]

Let's be on our way and I will explain.

[falenandawn]

More complicated? [Frey would agree with that strategy. Working separately but still united would be better here, if they didn't want to waste time and risk potential confusion among the already built groups.]

Of course. I did not expect to see you so far out here, myself.

[With a nod, Albert started off along the same route that he had intended to take when they had run into Frey's group. He speaks after they have been moving for another minute or two.]

We were in one of the detention centers earlier in the day. The ones who are with me volunteered to remain on to see what we can do with the other centers in the area.

[Frey keeps in step with Albert as they move, the plans his group had having already discussed prior to the run in with Albert's group.]

You were captured? [His eyes widen a little, surprise showing on his face. With all the chaos, he supposed it was far easier for someone like Albert to get caught, but it still wasn't something he would have expected.] I would not have expected you to have gotten so close to the more active areas.

[He gives the prince a wry look at his surprise; he was well aware of how strange the circumstances really were.]

The cultists taking control of the droids threw in several variables across the battlefield. Several of us were ambushed fairly far from the actual contention zones.

So it was that that got you captured. [It made sense. No one had been expecting such a move, after all, and while Albert was a strategist even he couldn't possibly plan for everything. Plenty of more peaceful areas had been overrun rapidly since the droids became an issue.] And I suppose you helped with the break out, as well?

[chikaidestroyer]

Correct. The majority have been diverted back to the safe areas; there were quite a few civilians, children among them, caught in the detention center.

[He slows slightly as the begin approaching the area their destination was in. They could likely continue talking for awhile, but they had to keep an eye out for possible patrols -- droids or cultists.]

It is good that you managed to break them all out. [Children...... Freyjadour wished he could say he was surprised, but his lips merely thin into a rather grim line. He quiets as well, letting his gaze trail across the horizon as they continue to move.]

Day 2

[Frey isn't the only one who rises quickly when the alarms sound, especially when she was used to having to prepare for battle in an instant. That doesn't stop the worry and confusion from creasing her brow though, grabbing her staff first. Proper clothing wear could wait until after they had some idea of what was happening.

Of course her attention is also on the people sleeping around her, Frey in particular. What would this mean for their side?] Freyjadour?

Day 2

Tear. [He's up and awake, Tri-nunchaku already in hand after it had been tucked at the side of his bed while he slept. His head was, thankfully, clear now, clear enough for him to take in the chaos going on around them.] Something has set off the base alarms.... It doesn't sound like a signal for deployment at all.

Day 2

No it doesn't, there can't be any surprise attacks already can there? [It had only been a few hours since they had retired for the evening, and even then there should have been more advance warning than this, shouldn't there? No matter, the fact was they were being attacked, and needed to act quickly.

Fortunately she had been able to sleep in most of of her uniform, it was simply a matter of trading her slip for the outer dress and adjusting her garters.]>/small> Will you be ready to go soon?

Day 2

I don't know..... But given the situation, we might need to proceed with that in consideration until we know otherwise. [Better to take caution when given warning to, then to ignore the warning entirely.

Frey himself had only the outer leathers of his uniform to slip on over the thick undercloth and his pants, and he's already shrugging on his jacket as he nods. The clothes, while ornate looking, were designed with resistance in mind and built to be light armor of a sort. Luckily he had left his hair up when he slept last night...] As soon as you are, I imagine.

Day 2

Then let's be going. [She had just finished fastening her dress, checking to make sure the knives in her garters were secure before chancing a look around them to the others getting ready.]

Did you see anything remotely suspicious yesterday?

Right. [He's slipping on his gloves and fasting his belt around his waist, choosing to keep his weapon in hand for now rather then return it to the attached holster.]

I did not. We will have to seek out more information first, I think.

Day 2

[Tear nods in agreement, already moving out toward the door and only just looking over her shoulder to make sure Frey was behind her. Whatever this was, the last thing she wanted was to lose track of him. Her other companions had each other, and she could check on them once they assessed the situation and formed a plan.

When she reaches the doors she strains to see what was going on in the darkness outside, able to hear commotion but unable to tell anything yet. If something was attacking, why weren't the outer guns firing?]

[Freyjadour follows close behind Tear, though he does make sure to give her room to maneuver if they run into trouble. He didn't know much about the technology of this place, let alone the guns, but his thoughts ran along a similar line-- this place was fortified enough that there should be some difficult breaching it's defenses. It was worrying.] We need to be careful.

Day 2

Do you think we should chance going out there now? [Others would already be doing that, but it didn't feel right to just stay behind and wait for more information either. If this truly was a surprise attack, then it would mean more casualties on their side the longer it took to band together.]

We don't have much of a choice in the matter, I think. [He wasn't keen on waiting for someone else to come back, possibly injured, to give them information on the situation.] Are you alright with heading out now?

[She closes her eyes for an instant, breathing in slowly, but when she opens them again her resolve is firm. There could be no room for any more hesitation, especially when the lives of her friends and innocent people was involved.]

Let's go.

Right. [He nods, gripping his weapon a bit tighter and stepping up next to her. There was no time to waste.] We can both keep an eye out for danger as we go.
