[He can protest all he likes. She's about to start healing anyway.]

Technically, I have a spare. [He said as he wagged his tail, which held his taser in it. But he'll accept the healing regardless.]

[Yes he will. But it's short, because she flat-out exhausted herself the day before and it's all about conserving what she can now.]

Busy. [It shows, for just a few seconds, in the strain and pallor of her face. Then her expression hardens again.]

Me too. [He puts his free hand on her shoulder briefly for some comfort.]

These battles... How long do they usually go on for?

It's different every time. The last one- [Is impossibly hard to think about. Particularly without turning her mood sour.] The last one took about a week. When we were in the jungle...it was shorter, I think. We lost.

Oh. [He frowns at the last detail.] What happened when you... lost? [He asks with some hesitance.]

I'm not exactly sure. It rained, and there was chaos, and then we weren't in the jungle anymore.

[wildbluevagner]

That sounds crazy. But... as long as you made it out okay. [Maybe things will be okay this time, too.]

[frost_jewel]

We did. And we will, now. [She sounds confident enough.] It is always bad, but it has been much worse than this, Kurt, and we've survived. We'll be okay.

I'll take your word for it. [He says before giving a quick one-armed hug.] We should catch up with the others. They could be throwing a party without us.
