TERRACE Draft - Remaining Days

This post covers the second to sixth day! Be sure to check the info post on the timeline to know what's up. At 2AM on the 27th, the attack will break out while most people are sleeping. Be sure to use the above info post for any plotting needs you might have. Enjoy!

That was my thinking exactly. We'll probably be more successful if we go together. [He's all for going with this guy if they have the same goal in mind.]

Definitely. [With a nod, Kouki continues heading for the detention centre.] What can you do in battle?

[In case they need to fight alongside each other, Kouki need to know if they have any openings in their fighting style.]

I use a sword primarily. [He hefts the sword a bit, nodding as he does.] I can also use a bit of symbology.

[A swordsman. That means Kouki might have to provide Fayt with some support and healing if the other boy get hurt.] Symbology? Is that something like magic?

[...Right. 'Magic'.

He really needed to get some better information on this.]

...Something like that, yeah.

What kind? Supportive, healing or offensive?

[And hey, is that the detention centre up ahead?]

I've got a healing symbol and a couple of offensive symbols. [several of his skills needed symbological force to work effectively, as well.]

What about you? Because I think that's the place up ahead.

I can use healing, supportive, offensive and ailments inflicting spells. [He can use almost any spells from his side of the multiverse.]

I can fight with my hands, but my magic's stronger. [And yep, that's the detention centre.] Here we are.

[Kouki looks up at it, studying the design quickly.]

Ready to head in?

Maybe I should take the lead, then. Give you room and time to do your stuff. [Just like they did back in his universe.]

I'm ready.

Yeah, you should.

[He doesn't have his demons to act as his meat shield.]

Let's go.

[And in they go, Kouki keeping his guard up and ready to cast a spell from behind Fayt.]

Got it.

[Fayt takes the lead as promised, glancing around once they get close to the detention center.]

There should be guards around....

Maybe the others distracted them.

[He's not counting on it. Kouki stay quiet for a moment, listening for any noises.]

...See any guards?

Not ye--[there they were, walking out of a building. A shift change? Then maybe that was where they were keeping the prisoners.]

Spoke too soon. You ready?

[A smile grace his face, a very eager looking one. With the guards up ahead, that means he get to take them down with Fayt's help.

And being productive by saving others.]

Definitely. [The guards are slowly getting closer.] Three, two, one...

[Fayt reaches back and draws his sword, readying it in his hands as he nods.] Let's go! [And then he's starting forward on the end of the count to strike out at the nearest guard.]

[Kouki follows right behind him. Seeing them running towards them, the guards was briefly surprised, before they ready their weapons at them.

Before they clash, Kouki quickly cast a spell from behind Fayt. From above, lightning strike down on the guards, shocking and weakening them.]

[Fayt's mildly surprised by the strength of the spell given the time to cast, but he rushes the guards anyway, taking advantage of their shock to kick one in the stomach before cutting another down.]

[As a demon king, his spellcasting time are usually quite short. Only his strongest spells takes longer for him to use.

The kicked guard falls, clutching his stomach and still twitching from the electrical shock. The other, too falls, and didn't immediately get up.]

Let's keep going, unless we wish to take care of them.

[Judging from Kouki's voice, he doesn't seem too bothered by the idea of killing.]

[Fayt's had to kill before, even if he'll always dislike it when it's necessary. Soldiers coming after you constantly in various places alongside with a weapon choice like a sword made it hard to avoid. The twitching man is quickly silenced with a harsh blow, and his quickly bleeding out partner follows him soon enough, because anyone following them is going to make a mess of things for those they're trying to save. They had to think realistically here.]

We've only got a short amount of time. Let's go.

[Before Luceti, the only deaths he caused was demons. Angels came later, after his ascension to the Throne of Bel.

He barely give the fallen guards a glance when he nods and follow Fayt further inside. Whenever they encounter more guards, Kouki's hands gathered energy before he strike them down with electrical spells. For this part, he'll stick to electrical spells for the static after effects possibilities.

Burning them with flames seem almost too cruel to use.]

[Fayt wouldn't have thought something like this would be this easy.... but the choice in electrical spells by his new combat partner was a good one.

Fairly fast and agile himself, he takes advantage of any stunned enemies, rushing in and attacking the groups and taking out the ones left without anyone to guard their back before taking care of the stunned foes.] We're making good time... hopefully we can get the people out before any backup arrives.

Hopefully.

[Things have been going well. Almost too well, but Kouki dare not say it out loud. It might jinx them. He glance over at Fayt, checking for any injuries. If he have some, he can heal them. If not, it's time to move on.]

With everyone else around, backup should hopefully get distracted.

[Now, where are they holding the people prisoners... He peeks around a corner, ready to charge up another spell.]

Hopefully, yeah. [He wasn't too badly off. He did have a few cuts and probably a few bruises forming, but it wasn't enough to slow him down. He was no worse off than anyone else right now. He peeks around the corner as well, spotting a larger group of guards then before.... they looked antsy.]

I think they know we're here.

And we can't exactly sneak by, in case they get us from behind.

[He peeks at them, before giving Fayt a smile.]

So let's knock them out. I can probably hit them with my magic from here.

From this distance? [Fayt raises an eyebrow, but nods. If Kouki said he could do it, he'd trust him to do it.] Got it. We need to get people out before this place ends up on high alert.
