[He stumbles up to run closer to them - and he tries to go for Loki's shoulder.]

Hey, Midgard to Loki! Can you hear me, dude? Man, snap out of it! We've got to get you out of here! [Kurt has no idea how to go about this correctly - but he knows there's no time to wait for Loki to indulge this fantasy. Who knows when someone could spot them from the outside and finish them off?] Trust me, this is bad news!

[Loki looks at Kurt with a bit of a dazed look on his face, blinking a couple of times. He knows there is something not right and he also knows he's not somekind of gullible fool.

Really, he wants to believe that this is wrong, but he also wants to believe that this is right.]

Aye. I hear you. Please make yourself more clear.

[His voice is slow and his hand tightens around Leah's because he really just wants to believe that this is right.]

There are vague memories...they contradict greatly. Perhaps that is why you are here? But Leah is here as well...and she is my bff.

She would never agree...holding my hand, right?

[He leans a bit closer to Kurt, as if he's going to tell the biggest secret in the Nine Realms.]

But I have missed her greatly. I just want to spend some time with her. In case she might disappear for a second time.

[Because she has disappeared once.]

[Oh good, he seems to be listening - or starting too, at least. He frowns, realizing he must really care for that Leah girl. He speaks on softly.]

But the thing is... she's not back at all. That's not real. She's an enemy in disguise, trying to trick you. You gotta believe me...

[Loki's eyes narrow when Kurt speaks. There's an awful feeling growing inside of him. Loki knows sadness and he also knows fear. Next to that he also knows that this is not right at all.]

Well, to trick a trickster...

[He wants to ask if he still has his wings but Leah starts uttering something about not going anywhere and that she's really back. Loki would be a fool for believing the other.]

...to finish off an enemy...

[For a brief moment the look in his eyes sharpens, his free hand dropping down to the small dagger he is carrying. He feels awful, as if he is about to retch.

Her hand feels warm in his, and her voice sounds real in his ears. But it is wrong, because she cannot be here. And Loki knows he's stronger than this, he has to be. He has to be.]

We are at a battleground.

[His mind is far from clear when he turns to Leah again, looking at her. After that he lets go of her hand and takes a step back.]

We are. [He tries to put a hand on Loki's shoulder.] And... I think only you can stop this. Stop - stop that thing.

[Leah's voice is loud now, yelling his name. She sounds desperate and tells him she has been waiting. And awful long time. Underneath the windy tower he sleeps in.]

Stop this.

[That means killing. And if this was really Leah, she would not ever allow him to kill her. Ever. She would have pummeled him all through the Nine Realms and back.

He reaches out for a second time, his hand grabbing hers. Or...it. He feels nauseated and the dagger he hides inside the sleeve of his shirt feels heavier and heavier. With a sudden tug he pulls her into something akin to a hug and he feels tears stinging behind his eyes.]

Leah would pummel me into oblivion.

[She's close now, and he smells her. He squeezes his eyes shut and bites his lower lip.]

But you are not Leah. She would not stand for this.

[In a flash the dagger slides out of his sleeve and it takes all his willpower to move and stab Not Leah in the gut. After that he lets go, eyes still closed and feeling beyond awful.

He does not want to look anymore...]

[Kurt can barely watch - he can practically feel all of the emotion radiating from the little god.

Once the Shifter is stabbed, the illusion should dissipate, leaving them all back in reality. In Terrace.

He didn't know what to do. He wasn't particularly close to the kid, but seeing what he just went through? Kurt tried to reach out to put an arm on his shoulder.]

Loki...

[The second Loki opens his eyes he notices that he's back where he was. Where he should be, actually. For a moment he stares at the dagger, there's blood on it. And when he turns around there's a man lying on the ground.

It takes quite some time to string thoughts together. Leah had not been real and thus it has not been him who killed her. That is an important thing to remember and hold on to. It is not his fault. It had been a very convincing illusion.

When he hears Kurt's voice he turns his head.]

Er...believe me, I am not one for killing. Though, things do not quite look as if they are in my favor right now.

[Loki points at the corpse, the look on his face completely blank. After that he checks his tunic, noticing a rather big bloodstain on it.]

Gross. Such a mess.
Are you well?

[Loki figures its better to change the subject, there was no time to dwell on this. Or to realize how much he missed his bff.]

I'm fine, Loki. [But not looking anywhere neat the corpse. He's not wanting to throw up, after all. But he tries to look at Loki.]

I'm more worried about you, man. That was... that was unreal.

Unreal is the correct way to describe a situation like this, yes. Second of all, we should move, I can recall you telling me that hanging around here would make us easy targets.

[Loki motions Kurt to follow him and it surprises him how easy it is to focus on the situation at hand again.]

Do not worry for me. It was an illusion, you see? Thus not real.

[Still, how true those words were, it did not take away the fact that he missed her greatly. Even more than before.

Perhaps he did like her beyond liking...]
