He watched Vegeta firmly as he listened to this explanation. It made sense, but they both did-- and nothing was ever clean on the battle field. It was why he preferred his method of doing things. Working outside of the battle field could potentially make the most impact.

Potentially. This was a no-win situation, and it was a small comfort that everything he valued in any world wasn't on the line in this case.

"Whatever." He shrugged. "It's done, and we're not gonna agree on this.

It's too late for regrets, so let's not bother arguing it. This ain't the time."

"Fine by me." That's really all he's got to say on the matter. He's angry enough as is, not at Cliff per se but just angry at this entire mess. Along with the usual amount of angry, of course. But killing that shifter disabled a lot of the droids in this area. No puppeteer, so no puppets. The work isn't finished but at least they gained this one small victory.

"Listen, I'm heading over to other sectors to take out the trash there too. You can come if you want but you won't be needed."

"Nah, but thanks for the offer." He rubbed his head in a restless attempt to clear it a little. With his adrenaline ebbing, he was starting to remember just how much it hurt to run around after being mauled by a mob.

"I'm gonna head back to camp. Might be more use there." There was a line between responsibility and recklessness, and he knew that he was edging over it. That was how he knew it was time for him to stop.

He smirked at Vegeta for a moment, eyes lit with humor. "You win. I'll pay up as soon as I can. Pity that fol ain't worth anything 'round these parts."

"Keep your money. Do I honestly look like I want it?" He really doesn't. Besides, back at home? His family is loaded.

But he'll take his leave now. There was more killing to be had and he's going to be more than happy to oblige.
