"Yeah," she whispered, a response to both his statements. Not being there did, in a way, make it easier. It meant she couldn't be held responsible in any way. It meant she couldn't hate herself for not getting to Henry in time. But yet, no matter how many times she told herself that, she didn't feel all that better.

"Hopefully, he won't remember much."

"Maybe not anything." He was about to say more, then he held a finger to his lips to quiet her. They'd been spotted. Now it was time to lure in their prey.

She notices the movement of his hand from the corner of her eyes. A universal signal, she thinks, for silence. Eyes half lidded, she looks straight ahead and notices the approaching Cultists. Rather than stilling all together, however, she slows her breathing to mimic that of sleep.

Hook. Line. Sinker.

Four of them landed, armed to the teeth. In a normal situation, this would be a difficult situation for the two of them. They had no special powers and these cultists could very well be as good as combatants as the two of them. But then, that was only if there was no trap.

Sokka sprang forward, placing his hands on the edge of the circle, and the lines running along the inside and out suddenly lit up with a glowing light and in that very moment, the cultists screamed for but a moment before they were reduced to cooked flesh. In Sokka's eyes, there was nothing but cold and cruel malice.

She stood up quickly when Sokka spring forward, reaching back for an arrow just in case his trap failed. Though she did, generally, have faith in him as a capable hunter and fighter, she remained skeptical of the trap.

But as promised, she remained outside of the circle. She even resisted the urge to fire an arrow at the closest attacker. But the second the circle lit up, she stopped and stared. Seeing the magic roast the cultists from afar was one thing. But up close...

"Whoa."

Sokka pulled back his hands. There were still clean, so much different than how he fought yesterday. As he stood up, he was smug. Arrogant. He sneered at the corpses.

"See you in your next lives, bastards. Maybe you won't be so stupid then."

She walked over to him, still clutching her arrow and bow, still just about utterly silent. Her thoughts weren't much different than his but she had never been good at speaking them aloud. The cultists had been stupid enough to fall for the snare. Would have killed them regardless. It wasn't like the Peacekeepers in the Nut.

Like the mutts that had killed Finnick, the mutts she had tossed a bomb on, these men deserved to die. And Luceti - this world - would be better off without them. Anyone who killed children indiscriminately.

After staring at the charred bodies a second more, she looked up at him and quirked an eyebrow. "I doubt it."

Probably a good end point?

He nodded quietly and stood. It was time to clean up. Ready the trap again.
