Starting at midnight on the 26th, Luceti and its inhabitants will find itself the focus of the Filial spirits, usually quiet and reclusive, now stepping out to deal with one of their own.

As promised, here is some additional information to help figure out how to play around with the spirits and interacting with similarly possessed people.

First off, each spirit has a certain time or place when they are at their most powerful. Consequently, characters possessed by them will enjoy these boosts and this in itself can be a deciding factor in what would otherwise be a stalemate. Here’s a quick run down:

Sona - She’s most powerful around lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Mostly this is concentrated at the southern lake.

Kipinn - He’s most powerful in high places, like mountain tops and the roofs of community buildings.

Faeren - She’s most powerful in the farmlands alongside things that grow.

Tsinku - He’s most powerful in the village itself, where technology thrives.

Eferin - He’s most powerful in the center of the forest where his heat may cause trees to burn. In fact, the upcoming forest fire may cause some trouble if his followers get too rowdy.

Hyt - It’s most powerful during the daytime under a bright sky.

Twila - It’s most powerful during the night time.

Nala- She has no domain and is generally welcome wherever she goes.

How possessed characters will deal with other possessed characters will depend on the interactions of the spirits themselves. A useful spreadsheet sums up these relationships. Those that have a friendly attitude to one another will generally allow ‘trespassers’ into their domain, but those they are not so friendly with may cause conflict.

Finally, to elaborate on Twila-possessed characters. Those with a natural affinity for darkness are likely to be possessed first. Once they have, they can try to recruit others less-compatible candidates to ‘join the cause’. Their goal is numbers. The more who are working with Twila, the better. Once they do, they’ll be inclined to act in their own self interest and if necessary, deal with others who try to get in their way. In the long term, the spirit Twila wants to stay this way, bonded to the Lucetians as hybrids, that way it cannot be imprisoned again. Think of it as pure survival instinct of an animal that’s spent way too long in a cage.

All isn’t lost. The other spirits may not be able to cage it again, but they won’t accept Twila reacting in this manner. Though it’s hard to tell what their beef with Twila is, they have an instinctive familiarity with the dark spirit and seem to act as its jail keepers.

They have the power to free people from Twila, but given their poor communication skills, figuring that out might just be a challenge. After all, the spirits can only communicate in shades of feeling and intentions, but not actually verbalize directions or marching orders. However, there will be a Malnosso post mid-event that will give everyone, possessed or otherwise, the info they need to turn things around.

People keep asking me that. It's probably the experiment.

[He's aware of it, but isn't particularly bothered.]

You're not bothered, are you?

[It's Dick, of course he's aware of it. But he doesn't care, and that is so suspicious. He should not be okay with that.

But if it was an experiment (and it probably was), it's not like there was much he could do about it, either. So maybe he shouldn't worry about it, either?

...oh well.]

Bothered? You wish. It's kinda nice hearin' you talk like a normal person for once.

[Precisely. No sense fighting what can't be changed! Jason even gets a free pass for anything he might say, by merit of being so cool.]

I was talking with Zatanna about it. [Sometime after some impulsive smooching man that's going to be awkward when this is over.] We were thinking maybe this one might be permanent. Wasn't there some talk a while ago about what happens when wings grow out?

We'll probably end up joining the Third Party before too long. [Which should be troublesome, but only if they don't make it fun. And of course they can make it fun!]

[Awkward or not, Jason will be so proud. Good for you, Dick. He kind of does have to raise a little fuss about this carelessness, though, because this whole "joining the Third Party" idea? Not really one he's too fond of.]

Uh... Well, the magic's pretty cool, and I guess I could get used to the wings, but joining the Third Party? I might have to pass on that one.

Well. I mean. We don't have to! We probably won't. Forget I brought it up!

Really? You would be okay with that? I mean, you wouldn't just... go do whatever you want, like you always do?

I'd rather stick with you. We're like brothers, right?

[DEEP DOWN THERE'S A PART OF HIM THAT WANTS TO STUBBORNLY PROTEST because he knows he'd probably never say that and because family, how does that even really work. But he doesn't quite do that.]

Even if I said it's because of Batman?

[Oh be quiet and accept the worship, Jason. >| ]

Really? [THAT'S THE PROBLEM he wants to protest but. You know. He's kind of okay with all of this. Even if he has his doubts, he just... can't not be okay with this.

...really, he should completely take advantage of it. He can't help but smirk.] Well, to tell the truth? I'm kinda glad to hear you say it. I'm all for the teamwork thing but I'd rather be around people I know I can trust.

[And he supposes he can trust him. Mostly.]

Of course you can trust me! Have I given you an impression otherwise?

[Is this about the mask thing? He will totally take his mask off right this second if it'll improve Jason's opinion of him..!]

[MANY TIMES but the reasons why escape him at the moment. In fact, none of the things that ever made him doubt Dick really seem all that bad right now.]

You really have to ask? You do kind of have a major attitude problem, circus boy. You know, usually.

[He sighs.]

Yeah... I'm sorry about all that. I guess I could be kind of a jerk. [And for what? Trying to get out? And go back to the place where he had no wings or magic? Pff.]

Yeah, you really kind of are sometimes. [He almost feels bad that he's actually admitting it. Only almost, though.] But it's not that big of a deal. You're okay when you're not being a jerk.

I'm sorry, Jay... You know I'm just trying to look out for you, right?

[Something about that stings a little. It's hard to brush off even despite the experiment (or whatever this is), but he manages to do it anyway. Because what Dick says is weird, too.]

That's surprisingly thoughtful of you. [Like. Really surprising. Maybe that's the wings, too.] But you shouldn't have to worry about any of us, Robin. Not that the thought isn't nice or anything.

Of course I have to worry! It's my fault you're still trapped here. [Even... even if that's been seeming like such a good idea lately. The contradiction is confusing and is quickly packaged away.]

I'm supposed to be the leader. Leaders aren't failures.

I don't think anyone blames you for that part. The "being stuck here" thing, I mean. But I think we've all been doing this long enough that we know how to take care of ourselves.

It's been almost two years for me. Bruce figured out how to get out within my first month.

[Why you gotta be like that, Dick. Jason kind of gets the feeling there's no convincing him (especially since there usually isn't), so he's just... gonna try and get away from the subject.]

Okay, okay, I get it. Leaderly responsibilities and all that. We won't be stuck here forever, though. If I were you, I'd probably focus more on letting the others know we're supposed to be a team.
