Starting at midnight on the 26th, Luceti and its inhabitants will find itself the focus of the Filial spirits, usually quiet and reclusive, now stepping out to deal with one of their own.

As promised, here is some additional information to help figure out how to play around with the spirits and interacting with similarly possessed people.

First off, each spirit has a certain time or place when they are at their most powerful. Consequently, characters possessed by them will enjoy these boosts and this in itself can be a deciding factor in what would otherwise be a stalemate. Here’s a quick run down:

Sona - She’s most powerful around lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Mostly this is concentrated at the southern lake.

Kipinn - He’s most powerful in high places, like mountain tops and the roofs of community buildings.

Faeren - She’s most powerful in the farmlands alongside things that grow.

Tsinku - He’s most powerful in the village itself, where technology thrives.

Eferin - He’s most powerful in the center of the forest where his heat may cause trees to burn. In fact, the upcoming forest fire may cause some trouble if his followers get too rowdy.

Hyt - It’s most powerful during the daytime under a bright sky.

Twila - It’s most powerful during the night time.

Nala- She has no domain and is generally welcome wherever she goes.

How possessed characters will deal with other possessed characters will depend on the interactions of the spirits themselves. A useful spreadsheet sums up these relationships. Those that have a friendly attitude to one another will generally allow ‘trespassers’ into their domain, but those they are not so friendly with may cause conflict.

Finally, to elaborate on Twila-possessed characters. Those with a natural affinity for darkness are likely to be possessed first. Once they have, they can try to recruit others less-compatible candidates to ‘join the cause’. Their goal is numbers. The more who are working with Twila, the better. Once they do, they’ll be inclined to act in their own self interest and if necessary, deal with others who try to get in their way. In the long term, the spirit Twila wants to stay this way, bonded to the Lucetians as hybrids, that way it cannot be imprisoned again. Think of it as pure survival instinct of an animal that’s spent way too long in a cage.

All isn’t lost. The other spirits may not be able to cage it again, but they won’t accept Twila reacting in this manner. Though it’s hard to tell what their beef with Twila is, they have an instinctive familiarity with the dark spirit and seem to act as its jail keepers.

They have the power to free people from Twila, but given their poor communication skills, figuring that out might just be a challenge. After all, the spirits can only communicate in shades of feeling and intentions, but not actually verbalize directions or marching orders. However, there will be a Malnosso post mid-event that will give everyone, possessed or otherwise, the info they need to turn things around.

[Vash dressed in a dark green windbreaker to match nicely with his new large green wings and blue greens is out in the sky today. His hair has grown long and shaggy and pulled back into a pony tail today as he flies about in the wind.

At some point he sees Naruto also flying about. Somewhere in the gunslinger's mind he gets the idea to have some fun. Without a warning shout he suddenly charges Naruto at breakneck speeds and a furry of wind flowing around him in his wake.

Not to attack Naruto or hit him. Not at all, but to simply fly by as fast as he can with a whirl of flair to it. Complete with a few spins and a flip just to show off even more.]

Bet you can't do that!

Are you kidding?! 'Course I can!

[With a big grin, he sets on doing the same, intending to show iff with his super new-found powers. It... doesn't quite go as planned though, giving himself too much of boost as he heads into a loop, enough that he startles himself and almost drops straight out of the sky before flying back up.]

...That was just a practice!

HA! Sure it was. Alight then practice-boy. One more try, this time real, not practice.

Watch this then, Mister!

[A little less enthusiastic this time- he flies forwards and does a loop-the-loop, followed by a second.]

How about that one!

I can top that! Watch this!

[Vash winds himself up and dashes forward. The first loop is no problem, having been doing them all day already. The second is a little sloppy but he pulls it off before he ends in a downwards spiral for a couple twirls before shooting back up.] Ha! Beat that!

Let's make it triple!

[Moving backwards for a run up. Er- a fly-up? He speeds up, going into the first loop. Then the second, then a third.]

YOSH!

[...]

Oh man, doing this on a full stomach probably isn't the best..

EW! Gross! Don't throw up on me! [Vash is going to back fly as FAST as his wings can beat AWAY from Naruto.]

[He's silent a minute, trying to not throw up. Once the feeling is gone however he's all smiles, as if nothing ever happened.]

Eh? I'm fine, I'm fine!

Who're you by the way, flying guy?

[Vash sighs, happy to not have a mess like that to look at.] The name's Vash. What's yours? Or should I just call you weak stomach?

No no, don't call me that. It's Naruto. Uzumaki Naruto! Nice to meet ya!

[goldenglasses]

Alright, Naruto the green faced it is then! Nice to meet you too.

The green faced? Nah, it's just Naruto Uzumaki! U-zu-ma-ki!

Heh, alright. Naruto it is then. Just no more loops after eating.

Got it! [Haha yeah he won't try that again.]

So whatcha doing up here? And hey- how long've you been in this place anyway? [Instead of waiting for the first answer, he led right on to the second question while it came to mind.]

Up here? I dunno, most of the day. Luceti? Three years now. What about you?

Three years? That's a really long time, I dunno if I wanna be here for that long. [Oh, answering. Right.] It's only been a month or so since I got here.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah, it has been awhile I guess. Then again, I guess in the lifetime it's not TOO long. More so when if I go home that I won't have lost anytime then.

[believeit]

So you really don't miss any time when you go back? It still seems pretty weird to me.

If I was here for three years I'd be almost twenty. [He'd almost be a real adult! Scary.]
