Starting at midnight on the 26th, Luceti and its inhabitants will find itself the focus of the Filial spirits, usually quiet and reclusive, now stepping out to deal with one of their own.

As promised, here is some additional information to help figure out how to play around with the spirits and interacting with similarly possessed people.

First off, each spirit has a certain time or place when they are at their most powerful. Consequently, characters possessed by them will enjoy these boosts and this in itself can be a deciding factor in what would otherwise be a stalemate. Here’s a quick run down:

Sona - She’s most powerful around lakes, rivers, and the ocean. Mostly this is concentrated at the southern lake.

Kipinn - He’s most powerful in high places, like mountain tops and the roofs of community buildings.

Faeren - She’s most powerful in the farmlands alongside things that grow.

Tsinku - He’s most powerful in the village itself, where technology thrives.

Eferin - He’s most powerful in the center of the forest where his heat may cause trees to burn. In fact, the upcoming forest fire may cause some trouble if his followers get too rowdy.

Hyt - It’s most powerful during the daytime under a bright sky.

Twila - It’s most powerful during the night time.

Nala- She has no domain and is generally welcome wherever she goes.

How possessed characters will deal with other possessed characters will depend on the interactions of the spirits themselves. A useful spreadsheet sums up these relationships. Those that have a friendly attitude to one another will generally allow ‘trespassers’ into their domain, but those they are not so friendly with may cause conflict.

Finally, to elaborate on Twila-possessed characters. Those with a natural affinity for darkness are likely to be possessed first. Once they have, they can try to recruit others less-compatible candidates to ‘join the cause’. Their goal is numbers. The more who are working with Twila, the better. Once they do, they’ll be inclined to act in their own self interest and if necessary, deal with others who try to get in their way. In the long term, the spirit Twila wants to stay this way, bonded to the Lucetians as hybrids, that way it cannot be imprisoned again. Think of it as pure survival instinct of an animal that’s spent way too long in a cage.

All isn’t lost. The other spirits may not be able to cage it again, but they won’t accept Twila reacting in this manner. Though it’s hard to tell what their beef with Twila is, they have an instinctive familiarity with the dark spirit and seem to act as its jail keepers.

They have the power to free people from Twila, but given their poor communication skills, figuring that out might just be a challenge. After all, the spirits can only communicate in shades of feeling and intentions, but not actually verbalize directions or marching orders. However, there will be a Malnosso post mid-event that will give everyone, possessed or otherwise, the info they need to turn things around.

[Minato grins because it's so like her to say something like that.]

I suppose they were a little brave to admire me that way. [Because of what their fangirl-ism would entail.]

[Another half-shrug]

The admiring was fine, I can't stop that. Besides, plenty of guys admired you too for being so strong and desirable.

It's when they sent those damn love letters that I had a problem.

[And she promptly sent a letter back saying if they tried anything else they were going to find something they weren't going to like in all their socks.]

[With his grin turning sheepish, Minato's blush comes back a tad bit.]

Ah, those love letters... They were a little flattering, if given under any other circumstance. [i.e. when he's not currently in a relationship with the most awesome woman ever.]

[better remember that too, husband!

NOTICES SAID BLUSH and it's pretty endearing]

See? You're so nice, no wonder you got so many. [meanwhile Kushina got awkward confessions over her beauty and such that she denied or ignored or fumbled over]

Probably too nice. [not like she minded telling them to back off for him though]

[Oh, Minato knows she won't mind doing the dirty job for him lmao.]

Well, it'd be rude if I burn them or throw them away. In any case, I didn't reply to any of them, at least.

[She can agree, at the very least, that burning someone's feelings or throwing them away would be inconsiderate. That didn't mean she was happy with it though.

So she punched them before Minato could find them.

'At least' huh?]

Did you want to?

[He looks thoughtful for a moment before smiling.]

A simple expression of gratitude would have been the polite thing to do. Although, I suppose it's not the right thing. [Given how he has all the admiration he needs beside him here.]

[Hearing him say it like that... but he does have all the admiration in one person named Kushina. Especially when he's thoughtful like this.

She's silent before she says;]

It would have been the right thing, too.

[Minato lightly shakes his head as he takes hold of her hand in his.]

Now, Kushina, don't be like that. [A soft smile.] I don't need letters of admiration. You're all I need.

[There's a bit of surprise, eyes lingering on his hand holding hers before she smiles a wistful smile. Then, carefully, her hand squeezes his.]

But those girls probably put their hearts into those stupid letters, so they did need something back. Even if it was an apology that you couldn't return their feelings.

[He acknowledges the gentle squeeze with a wider smile.]

I think the fact we're in a relationship already tells them that. And besides, I think you got that message across really well.

[It's not that he's insensitive about his fangirls' feelings. He does acknowledge them and he does greet them with a well-meaning smile when he happens to chance upon them. Sometimes, even strike casual conversation with some of them. It's just that he feels it goes without saying that he can't return these feelings they have. He's grateful but he's already taken. Sorry, girls.]

[Her smile juts out into a pout, brow furrowing and eyes darting away from his. A blush slowly forms on her cheeks as well. It's one thing to chase them off and admit it, it's another to have Minato bring it up when she's not expecting it]

Yeah, well, I wouldn't have had to if they realized you were with me earlier.

[Minato is anything but insensitive; maybe a little silly (derpy) and awkward at times, but never insensitive. That's probably what flusters her so much because these girls have EVERY reason to be just as taken with The Yellow Flash as she had been. That just didn't know him quite as well as she did -- flaws and all. If he had any.]

[Now now, don't turn away like that, Kushina. He can't help but tease her about it because her over-protectiveness for him is something he appreciates just as how he's over-protective of her.]

Did you want for me to declare it to all of Konoha then?

[Kushina's just lucky that she's the one Minato loved and admired ever since that time he saved her and admitted he liked her hair. They probably have every reason to like him just as much as she does, but they're not Kushina.]

[It would hard to do that now since they're not in Konoha. They won't be back to Konoha anytime soon...but that was fine. Luceti suited her just as well with everything she wanted right here in this house. Usually.]

How about Luceti instead?

[At least she's smiling, turning her head to flash him a half-smile though her eyes dance.]

[That got an embarrassed smile and blush from Minato. He's not the Hokage here and he still doesn't know that many people, so to announce it here would be a little more embarrassing than doing it in their home village.

Still, he's not going to be ashamed of anything. Especially when it comes to his family.]

Even if I won't be opposed to that, I think it goes without saying that you're mine, Kushina.

[Excited (and a little indignant because Kushina belonged to NO ONE) little flutters wreak havoc in her stomach when he says that and she smiles at nothing in particular, cheeks reddening.]

I think you're the one who's mine, ya know.

[Now it's his turn to blush some more.]

Ah, is that so? [He doesn't see any difference, really.] May I know why?

[There isn't one. Other than Kushina's strong personality versus Minato's easy-going one. She moves to hold up her ring but stops, remembering she can't wear it that much for how often she used to use it from fiddling around with it so much.]

Nope. You should know why.

[Or does she have to remind him SHE'S the one who practically proposed.
