What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

What kind of things? [Now she was nervous. The last thing she needed was someone else she couldn't trust. Sokka already broke her trust. She didn't want to put her trust in Kurt only to be crushed again.]

[He says that blithely, smiling in a way which doesn't reach his eyes as his eyes briefly drift in the direction of where he last saw the small girl. And then back to Asami again]

Yeah. Maybe I can find a few people willing to help coach. Depending on how many people want to play, there might be more than I can manage alone.

[He wants to trust her. He honestly does. He can't hold onto just hoping all the time that she won't turn out to be someone who will turn on him when she sees what he really looks like.

Kurt nods and stands up, starting to reach for the image inducer.]

I will. I'm sorry... for what you're going to see. You remember - I'm a mutant. Right?

[All she can do is nod, nearly speechless from nerves.]

[He closes his eyes, swallows and bites his lip before he turns the inducer off.]

[And then, there's a fuzzy man looking on at her sadly.]

I'm sorry.

[She can't help but stare. He was... blue. Like actually blue. And fuzzy, which explained the fuzzy comment.

She stood up, trying to decided if she should move closer or not.]

You're... blue? [Really? That's what you say Suki? Real deep.]

[A soft nod. It's not instant condemnation, sure. But it's not instant acceptance either. He feels so tense it's a moment before he can get himself to speak.]

Right. And... fuzzy. And - and just weird in general.

[Finally she stepped closer to him.]

Jennamite? No, we couldn't find any, so it's just rock candy. That'd be cool, though, wouldn't it? Uncle Bumi sent us some when we were - hey, wait!

[ Backtracking from her chatter for a second. ]

You've had Jennamite before?

[A sort of distant look fell onto his face, briefly, before she snorted and just popped the rock candy into his mouth, adopting a more easy smile and using his time chewing to come up with his deflection. There isn't a good one, but]

Someone close to me did, that's all. I've heard a lot about it.

[He took a sharp breath of fear. He didn't know what would happen.]

Yeah. S-something like that. I mean... I'm still me. I just... have to look different.

[Licks his lips, a little unsure about the slightly... possibly offended look, but this was an open forum on British culture. Even if they were impressively different and completely the same for Max and Jack.]
