What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

[She can't help but stare. He was... blue. Like actually blue. And fuzzy, which explained the fuzzy comment.

She stood up, trying to decided if she should move closer or not.]

You're... blue? [Really? That's what you say Suki? Real deep.]

[A soft nod. It's not instant condemnation, sure. But it's not instant acceptance either. He feels so tense it's a moment before he can get himself to speak.]

Right. And... fuzzy. And - and just weird in general.

And fuzzy. [She repeated.]

This is the real you?

Cross my heart it is. I don't like to trick you like this, I swear. It's just... this is the way I've gotten used to living.

[Finally she stepped closer to him.]

You've gotten used to pretending to be something you're not?

[wildbluevagner]

[He took a sharp breath of fear. He didn't know what would happen.]

Yeah. S-something like that. I mean... I'm still me. I just... have to look different.

Um... Can I touch you?

[Yup. She wants to feel his fuzziness.]

[wildbluevagner]

[He blinked in confusion and looked towards her sheepishly.]

I-if you want.

Where?

[ex_tessen852]

Well, you are fuzzy. [She gives him a soft smile.] I know this may come off as a surprise, but I've never felt a fuzzy person before.

[wildbluevagner]

[A smile. Could it really be...? His hear is beating again.]

Trust me, it's got nothing on a good pillow.

[ex_tessen852]

[She reaches for his forearm.]

This is... different.

[wildbluevagner]

[And that smile doesn't go.]

You don't have to, you know. It's... it's okay if you'd rather not.

Rather not what?

[wildbluevagner]

Try. Make yourself... want to accept me. If you'd rather not, then... that's okay, Suki.

Kurt... [She reaches out for his hand.] I already accept you. If you think I only like you because you're cute, then you're wrong. I like you because you made me smile when I needed it most. When all I wanted to do was cry, you made me laugh, and that really means a lot to me.

It's different, but I'm going to accept you no matter how you look. It's what's inside that counts, right?

[A sincere smile spreads with those words. And he reluctantly reaches out his three-fingered hands to take hers. Who would have thought, he'd find more than one person who liked him like this?]

You're too good for me, Suki.

[She squeezes his hand.]

I'm not really. And I'd say the same to you, but I think we'd just go around in circles.

[wildbluevagner]

[He feels that squeeze - just as she squeezed his fake form's hand. It lifts his spirits so much more.]

Fair enough. But you don't know... how glad this makes me.

[His feelings are as fuzzy as his exterior. She's been so nice, so great, so accepting towards him. It was the kind of thing he had grown to miss, a lot. Even if it wasn't with the girlfriend who was at home.]

[She can't help but smile at him. Yeah, the blue is... different, but she can get used to different. Right?

Her hand slipped from his, only to pull him into a hug.]

I'll always accept you, Kurt. You're my friend. And... you're really important to me.

[It hurt, for some reason. Being like this with him. Not because he's blue, but because there was still a part of her that felt like she was betraying Sokka. But she shouldn't focus on that right now.]

[And he went right into the hug. It's not often he gets that close contact - not really since Mia at Valentines. He gives it all he has and speaks quietly near her ear.]

That's great. You're real important to me, too, fraulen.

[And he pulls his head back a bit, completely caught in the moment and daring to plant a quick kiss on her cheek.]

[OK! That was really cute. She can't help but chuckle.]

Frow-line? [She was going to ask when it meant, but then he had to kiss her cheek. That should've made her happy, but it didn't.

In reaction, she pushed away from him, but quickly noticed what she did. So in the end, she just looked flustered. Or at least, that's how she hoped she looked.] Um, what does that mean? Frow-line?

[He wonders if he made a mistake - he shouldn't have tried a kiss. After all, it was one thing for her to get used to dating a shaggy man. Why did he bother to bring hairy kisses into the occasion? He tries to remain casual.]

It just means "Miss" in my language. That's all.

[She looked away, nervously.]

But, um, can I confess something too?

Just one guess: you're a lizard.

[OK that made her laugh. This is why she likes you Kurt.]

[Her expression turns a bit more serious.]

I'm... still pretty nervous about us- this, whatever this is. I've kinda only been with Sokka, so being with someone else is still new to me, so I'm sorry for being weird. I just need to get used to all this.

And, well, I'm used to making the first move. [Adding a little joke to hopefully lighten the mood some.]
