What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

[She places her hand on his cheek in hopes to have him face her in order to kiss him once more. This time though, the kiss lasted a bit longer, lips lingering against his.

Once their lips parted, her hand dropped and she took a step back.]

I haven't spoken to much of anyone for the past few months. It does not make it better or right by any means, but it is true.

[And Saori, well. She's not certain how to handle that particular thread of the conversation delicately. She has no issue with the goddess, nor, to her mind, does the goddess have an issue with her. She is neither upset nor the cause of upset, not that she is aware of.]

Nothing happened. A long stretch of nothing, which is aggravating to most and all the more so to those that are more accustomed to my being communicative and open. She was worried and hurt- rightfully so. Were our situations reversed I would have been the same way.

Yup! I can use cryas artes that come in three main flavours: wind, water and fire!

Well, if you could rig up a giant fan to blow through them, you could still use them.

I don't know if someone besides an air bender can really get through them though.

Honestly, he'd been thinking about contacting her as well. He just wasn't sure, even after the whole take over thing, what her intent really was for the people in the enclosure. Or how working with her would go for the person who asked.

And...no. Some other people probably do, but the air benders have something of a monopoly.

Oh... [She blinks in some understanding, and gives a small smile.] Electricity is a very new concept to me. I assume, then, that the air benders created these gates to begin with? [It sounds-- and looks-- very much like a traditional sort of ritual.]

It's pretty new back home, too. I mean, not to me. But in general...

[She shrugs.]

I don't know who built it actually. I imagine it had to be air benders originally, it's pretty old.

"Are you familiar with the beasts that are created by people's thoughts? Dark things that feed off of chaos and despair and grow stronger from them?"

"I do not know. I know almost nothing about humanity. Why they think what they do, why they do not understand the power of their imagination, why so many yearn for oblivion. If I knew I would answer you, alas I have been so far removed from humanity I can not yet make that judgement yet."

I am as well. It was quite a wonderful instrument, and losing it would have meant losing a good deal of culture.
