What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

"Well, this is only the second year we've managed to do it. Whether it will last as a tradition or not remains to be seen."

"Well, it's an anchor, anyway. Maybe people will keep it up even if the same folks aren't around next time."

"It's important to remain in touch with our worlds, and learn new things about the others out there, as well. So I hope it does continue."

There were a few new booths this year in comparison to last years, and a few notably missing ones. "We'll only see how it goes when the time comes again. If we're around to see it."

He nods. That was always the question here, wasn't it? When would people go home.

[wise_maiden]

She pours a small cup of tea for herself, and takes a sip, falling quiet for a few moments herself.

"How have you been doing, otherwise?"

[rather_be_surfing]

He smiles a little, looking out over the fair for a minute.

"Better. Still have to figure out what to do with all this spare time on my hands, but better."

[wise_maiden]

"I'm glad to hear it. I didn't think the recent situation would have helped much in that regard..."

[rather_be_surfing]

"Actually, things worked out pretty well this time around, for the most part."

Not to mention pushed a 'discussion' into happening that might not have happened otherwise, or at least not for a long time to come.

"There's a few apologies I probably need to make, but...I was given a few insights I didn't have before. Helped a bit."

[wise_maiden]

She nods as he speaks, taking a sip of her tea.

"'Given'? You mean, from the spirit?"

[rather_be_surfing]

"No. More like their presence pushed a few things into happening that wouldn't have otherwise."

[wise_maiden]

"And with the presence gone, you're finding that you don't mind that it has... at least, that's what it seems like."

[rather_be_surfing]

"No, I don't. For once, it was something I wanted to happen."

And that's probably about as far as he'll go down that track.

[wise_maiden]

"That's good. It's not often that there are productive... results from situations like this. I'm still left with questions, though without many avenues to pursue them."

[rather_be_surfing]

"Maybe in time. That is what you pointed out to me the last time we talked about this, right?"

[wise_maiden]

"... Indeed. Ideas that were food for thought, but not enough to be discussed in the moment. If Twila's presence is remaining in the enclosure indefinitely... we still have a lot more to learn in that regard."

[rather_be_surfing]

"Yeah, we do. Makes me wonder how some things will change with her here and available like the rest."

Honestly, he'd been thinking about contacting her as well. He just wasn't sure, even after the whole take over thing, what her intent really was for the people in the enclosure. Or how working with her would go for the person who asked.

[wise_maiden]

"I can't help but wonder how they are dealing with it. They're usually on such an intangible level... but I suppose we'd know by now if there were any problems. "

[rather_be_surfing]

"We'll find out. Maybe it'll be enough for her that she's free again."

Or maybe not. But that was something that Luceti as a whole would have to wait and see on. Hopefully, it had been the right decision.

[wise_maiden]

"Time will only tell." If things had reached such an extreme that people thought the only solution was to lock the spirit up - caution was still warranted. And patience. "I'd still like to have more information on the incident that led to it... but that tends to be what's in short supply."
