What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

Hm... I hope that nothing is troubling you.

[It seemed many people here had things on their mind at the moment. As a Spirit, he can't help but want to listen sometimes.

Still, he turns his attention to the model now.]

Ah, yes, this is my world. Or at least a depiction of it. I may not have much to offer about individual cultures but my words, but I wished to share something visual with the other inhabitants all the same.

It's been interesting. Some of it's familiar, but the stuff I don't know is interesting.

[winds_voice]

I am glad to hear it.

[And he's happy to see him relaxed. Even if that wasn't the case, the Spirit hoped it would provide a better atmosphere.]

It has been surprising to hear about the similarities some worlds share with my own. Before I arrived here I was not aware there that were so many worlds in the first place.

I still hope to learn more about yours as well.

Honestly, from what I can tell, my world is a relatively watered down version of other people's version of Earth. Not much that goes on other than day to day life.

[And vampires. But...they both already knew that.]

I still know little about Earth. In my world, it is a supposedly legendary world, a twin of my own, that nobody knows how to access. It has been sealed for many years now.

Your 'day to day life' may very well be completely different to those of my people and especially of myself. Perhaps you could tell me more about it?

I can try...wouldn't know where to start, though, really.

Hmm... why not tell me about your technology? I have already seen machinery that is unfamiliar to me here. How do you travel? What to you use to aid you in your day to day life?

[He shakes his head at the next question.]

I am afraid I do not know the details. It is something that only the Spirit of Aether would know. My sole concern is the world of Aether and its well-being. All I know of Earth is what the humans speak of amongst themselves.

Actually, a lot of the things here in the enclosure are like the technology back home. And we use cars, airplanes, things like that to travel. I could always pull up a simulation for you in the battle dome. Might be easier than me trying to explain it to you.

So you are a protector back home?

[winds_voice]

I see... I will have to bear that in mind whenever I come in contact with something I have not seen before. I... have never heard of cars or airplanes before either so yes, I would certainly be interested in experiencing a simulation of these.

And yes, in a way. As the Wind Spirit of Aether I am solely responsible for the condition of the skies. I help to regulate the weather, maintain the atmosphere and aid plants and animals when they need the power of the wind. I work alongside other Spirits to keep Aether alive. It is our sole reason for existing.

I'll bring 'em up for you sometime, then. I'm usually at the dome in the morning, so that'd probably be the best time.
