What: The Cultural Fair
When: June 5th- 12th - admittedly dates are sort of nebulous - set up could have begun as early as the 5th, but given the event recently, more days could have been taken to do it and for people to involve themselves, so it probably "officially" starts a little later (by the 8th at the very least, though work can go on throughout it) - feel free to use your judgement/have fun!
Where: All around the town square!

Notes: Booths can be labeled as separate comments! Just put [booth name] or something in the subject line so people can find top level comments easier.

Work probably started for it on the 5th-7/8th for labor purposes, though feel free to use dates to your advantage here! (Even if characters slapdash something at the last minute, it would be fun to see! It would even be encouraged after the crazy from the last event - kind of a way to get back in touch with themselves.)

CHARACTERS ARE WELCOME TO TAG THE LOG FOR INTERACTING WITH OTHERS, NOT JUST BOOTHS, SO FEEL FREE TO TAG IN! Also a character who might not know what's going on is welcome to walk by and question it! And so forth. (Helios and Ikki made posts in regard to it and there have been art club posters around, so anyone could have noticed those as well!)

I'll leave descriptions up to you all as there isn't much that is too uniform about the displays, as everyone is encouraged to be creative about their presentations and how hard the characters worked isn't something I could define for each of you. Just keep in mind that this takes place in the plaza, there shouldn't be an issue with blocking traffic (there may be ropes up to try and keep pathways clear, however!), though it may branch around various points of the square depending on where someone wants a booth located / the number of actual participants. The square will also have a lot of brightly colored signs and decorations indicating what is going on!

Funny, I don't remember adding horns to Stark Tower when I drew it.

[First Steve, they are *Loki* horns.

Loki gives Steve a look that indicates he is shocked--SHOCKED--that Steve would say something like that.]

Steve Rogers, surely you are not saying your art has reached a state of perfection and has no room for improvement...?

I'm not saying that at all. But what my art is is based on actual buildings, places, and people. And Stark Tower never had horns popping out of its roof.

You know Steve, I read this utterly fascinating book recently. I found it in the library, by a mortal named Freud. And well... I needn't go into details, I trust, but by his standards Stark's tower is rather representative of something naughty on the skyline. Which I suppose makes sense, considering how short and egotistical Stark is, come to think of it.

At any rate, the horns make fetching camouflage. There are children about, you know.

[He knows Loki is purposely trying his patience. And as much as he'd like to punch him in the face that wouldn't settle anything. Instead he takes a few deep breathes before attempting to speak.]

It's good of you do be concerned but you're the only one with this complaint.

Are you so certain? Perhaps everyone else is just far too polite. Have you tried asking?

[He clenches and unclenches his jaw a few times before responding.]

It hadn't occurred to me. I merely assumed they would say something if they saw something...questionable.

Buffy Summers told me a very interesting human saying about the word assume. Would you like to hear it?

......No. I believe I know the one you're talking about.

Excellent. I only wanted to make certain, you see. I always seem to have problems with mortal slang, and I imagine you must have your own little difficulties.

I like to think I've gotten past the learning curve by now.

[In perfect mimic of the fatuous tones of a kindergarten teacher:] Oh, how good for you.

[He idly draws a circle in the air with one foot, over and over, much like the tail of a cat flicking.] I think they make up slang at times, really.

[He rubs his temple, wondering how he'd gotten side tracked into talking about slang.]

Look, are you going to undo whatever you did or not?

[Because Loki is very good at what he does. He twitches his foot.]

In a word: no.

[Steve's hands clench around the drawings so tightly that the pages start to crinkle, but he doesn't seem to notice or care.]

Fine. [The word is more of a growl if anything and with that Steve turns on his heel and starts back towards his booth.]

And here I thought cooperative art was so very fun.

[He waves at Steve's retreating back.]
